VICTORIA MORETTI

I woke up, the sun blinding me through the curtains. I rolled my body towards the other way, bringing the blanket with me. I tried to go back to bed, but I just couldn't. plus it was time to check if Anastasia was awake or not.

I opened my eyes, rubbing them slowly after. I sighed, looking beside me, Tom curdled up in a ball, hugging his pillow. I giggled, seeing how vulnerable he looks while sleeping. I leaned in for a small kiss on the forehead, making sure I didn't wake him up.

I unwrapped myself from the blanket and tiptoed my way out of the room, opening the doors, feeling the cold breeze from the hallways hit my warm body, chills running down on each and every hair on my skin.

I opened Anastasias door ajar, peeking my head through it. I saw her sleepily little body wrapped under her blanket.

I opened the door further, wanting to go in. I took quiet steps, not wanting to wake her up, however she was a deep sleeper so I doubt I would wake her up, but still I wanted to make sure she knew I wasn't here.

Something was off, when I got closer to her I couldn't see her chest move up and down, also I couldn't see her hair peeking out of the blanket..

I carefully unwrapped the blanket, revealing her unicorn pillow. I grew nervous, really nervous. I checked the baby monitor, grabbing it off of her shelf, replaying what was happening during the night.

At 3:52am there was a figure, the darkness in the room covering the color that they were wearing, but the moonlight appearing through the curtains help me see them. From what I could tell they were wearing all black, think material on their body. Also a mask, leading me to not see their face.

I panicked. I kept pacing back and forth, my mind was blank at the moment. I couldn't think straight. Everything was great, I felt like my life was complete. But now.. I felt a whole part of my heart has been missing.

I quickly ran out of Anastasias room and went into ours. I shook Tom aggressively, Tom groaned sleepily. "Five more minutes.." He said, turning the other side. "Tom it's Anastasia!" I exclaimed worriedly.

Tom quickly opened his eyes, sitting up straight on the bed, not bothering to run his tired eyes. "W..what happened to her." He says breathily, his chest slightly going up and down.

"She's gone!" I exclaimed again, my voice raising. "What do you mean she's gone?" He asked, not believing my words. "I mean she's gone Tom! She's not in her room." I said quickly, "plus when I went to check the baby monitor, I-I saw someone take her and run away.!" I said, not wanting to even believe my own words, my voice was shaky, tears starting to cover my vision.
