January 1st 2000, was an important date in history for a multitude of reasons as it was the starting point for the next century.
This date was supposed to signify a new era for our world. One that signified peace, prosperity, liberty, discovery, revolution and innovation. This new century was a clean slate for humanity. No more war, no more genocide, no more revolutions, no more capitalism, no more hatred and no more world conflict.
People stupidly believe that this century would represent a better future. Every terribly atrocity that they have ever seen, would be left in the past and the future only held good intentions. A future that their kids and grandkids could live comfortably in and in complete harmony with one another.
But January 1st, 2000, was none of those things. All of those promises that it was supposedly going to bring, all turned out to be blatant lies. The day that was supposed to be the celebration into a new era, ended up becoming the day that the world ended.
