After the much need reunions and celebration of life, the delinquents had decided to venture to the bottom level of the dropship. They were currently crowded around the exit door, staring nervously at the metal surface.
The opening of this door would signify the start of their new lives. Everything they had ever known was about to go out the window. They were no longer on the mountain, meaning it would officially set in that they weren't at home. If they were step foot onto the ground then life as they know it would change.
Though some were worried about this new change, many welcomed it with open arms. Some of delinquents saw this mission as a new opportunity. One that promoted prosperity and most importantly, freedom. No longer were they subjected to the strict authority on the mountain.
But now they were officially their own people, who could do whatever they wanted. They were free.
"What are we waiting for?" Julian Nero was the first one to break the awkwardly silent atmosphere. "Let's go out there and explore."
Everyone looked at him and his visible confidence was enough to convince them to do exactly that. Someone had tried to step forward to grab ahold of the door handle but they were quickly stopped by a hand firmly taking ahold of their wrist.
"Wait!" The delinquents all turned their heads and was met with the sight of a very worried looking, Sky Monroe.
Everyone knew who Sky Monroe was. She was the only other teenager to have come from privilege (like Sebastian). Her parents worked very respectable and well-paying jobs (engineer and doctor), meaning she was blessed with all of the luxuries in life. She was swimming in riches compared to everyone else.
But that's not the only reason why people knew her. She had one of the most controversial and well-known arrests in Talladegan history.
The teen girl lived a very a normal life. She had loving parents, a great home environment, had all her needs fulfilled and mostly stayed out of trouble. But one day, her reputation had been completely ruined when she was suddenly arrested for unknown reasons.
Nobody knew what she had done exactly but they knew it had to have been bad enough if she was immediately thrown into solitary confinement. That earned her the reputation of 'good girl gone bad.' And she was known around the prison for it.
