My life had been perfect. I had my best friends and the Babysitters Club. Mom and Watson had just gotten married and we were moving into a new house.Me and Stacey were in love. But it all came crashing down soon after I returned from camp.

A week after we got back Stacey broke up with me. Because she "lost feelings". I never saw my friends because we took 2 weeks off from babysitting. Our dog Louis died. And Mom and Watson were trying to force us together. It felt like our whole life was messed up.

I tried to enjoy the new house I really did I even made a new friend;Emily . Sam was inviting people over and said Emily could over to hang out. I lay by the pool with Kristy waiting for Emily. I had one Airpod in while listening to Kristy complain about something. I wasn't paying much attention though .

"Stacey?!" Kristy said excitedly as she quickly got off of her chair. My eyes shot open in alarm. 'What the hell was she doing here?' Kristy was already hugging Stacey and I was frozen in my chair. I stared at them from across the yard.

Kristy turned around and look at me "Y/n don't be rude." She said in her I'm serious voice before she turned back and continued talking with Stacey. I sighed and pushed myself up from the chair. I still loved Stacey, with my whole heart. I slowly walked over to her and waved slightly.

"Hey Stace. Why are you here?" I asked nervously. My leg tapped slightly and I saw her eyes flick to it before she looked back at me.

"Um Sam invited me." She said as she rocked back and forth in her heels. 'Great my brothers hitting on my ex' I thought. I looked down and a rubbed my neck not sure why to say.

"Y/n!" A voice called I looked over and saw my friend Emily. She was smiling and waving from the doorway, I ran over and jumped in her arms. We hugged for a few moments before she set me down.

"Hi." I smiled looking into her hazel eyes. I looked back and saw Stacey looking over at us and turned away when I saw her. I shrugged it off and look back to Emily.

"Hey. That was painful to watch" She smiled wrapping her arm around my waist. "That your ex?" She whispered as we walked towards the front of the house.

"Yeah. She's here for my brother." She rolls her eyes. "Can we just go get ice cream and drive on your golf cart?" I ask her with pleading eyes

"Of course. I'll tell you about Jake!" She squealed. I laughed as I climbed into the passenger seat.

"What happened to Ethan?" I ask "And Brady?"

"They're so last week anyway..."

The next day

"Kristy please don't make me go. Say I died or something. I can not see Stacey. I think I will die of embarrassment " I beg as she drags me down the stairs. She lets go of my arm and looks at me.

"Y/n look at me." I stared into her eyes and she grabbed my face in her hands staring into my eyes. "You are going to have to see her at some point. And the sooner the better. Now come on we are not going to be late."

"Fine." I sigh as I trudged down the stairs and out to Charlie's car. I climbed into the front seat next to him, and slouched down into my seat.

"You look happy." Charlie said smirking at me. I glared at him and turned to look out the window.

"She's pouting because I'm making her go to the meeting...that her ex's is gonna be at." Kristy said climbing into the back seat. I shoot her a glare before turning my attention back to the scenery.

"Ah makes sense. Sorry bud. If it makes you feel better Sam says they're just friends." Charlie said looking at me. I smiled slightly but still ignored my siblings attempts at conversation. We got to the Kishis house and nocked on the door which Mimi opened a second later.
