Chapter 7

The Dark One's P.O.V

*10 years ago *

                  "Hello papa" I grit out. There in the flesh stood the teenage version of my very own father. The father who abandoned me as a child for some dream he used to have. He turned from where he stood by a long log, pipes in his hands and looked at me with a smirk. No hint of surprise or shock on his face. "Been a long time laddie, glad you could make the show." The boys danced all around us as if I weren't in their presence. I became angered by this. They were ignoring me as if I were a coward, which I am not. I will never be a coward! I jerked my hand, sending magic flying everywhere. The lost boys who were once jumping around and hollering were now motionless and unconscious on the muddy earth.

                  "Now Rumple, where's your fun?" Pan asked, sarcasm laced in his voice. "All my fun disappeared when the only parent I had left abandoned me for a stupid and pointless dream." Pan smirked and walked around the fire, stepping over his unconscious friends. "Don't tell me you lost your son" Pan spoke before continuing, "Oh that's right you did. Rumple your just like your father." My hands became fists, the leather gloves on them crinkling. "I did not lose my son..." "Of course you did. You abandoned him." "I did not come here for your witty statements and arguments. I came here to make a deal." Now Pan looked shocked but he quickly recovered and masked it with his usual smirk. "What might that be?"

                    "You step down from your role in Neverland or I cast a curse on you that will slowly kill you." Pan laughed, "And why would I step down?" His arms crossed over his earth toned chest and he cocked his head to the side. He knew exactly why, he was just testing me. "You know why. Either step down or you will slowly go bye-bye." Pan moved to stand right in front of me, "I'd like to see that." He spoke before he teleported behind me. I spun around quickly, "You won't find the key to breaking the curse deary" I smirked. Pan ran his fingers through his hair before letting his arm fall down to his side. "I will find the key to break the curse. You want to know why. I'm Peter Pan. Peter Pan never fails. So go ahead and strut around as you try to threaten me with some great curse. You will fail, and I will come out on top as always." I smirked to myself, the curse has already taken affect. He just doesn't know it.

                     I turned to leave when Pan called to me, "You know Rumple, once a coward, always a coward. I will make him regret ever abandoning me.
