"Riti dii, you need to calm down" Vani chuckled looking at Riti pacing back and forth in her heavy bridal dress.

"Come sit for a second" Vani helped riti to sit on the bed, she brought a glass of water and helped her in drinking it.

Riti, who exuded both excitement and nervousness took a deep breath after taking a huge gulp from the water.

Her cousin's radiant smile barely concealed the jitters that came with such an important day. Vani couldn't help but ask, "Are you still nervous, dii?" Her voice was laced with genuine concern.

Riti's smile wavered for a moment before she nodded, her eyes reflecting her emotions. "Yes, I am, Vani. But it's all worth it for the man I've fallen for."

Vani smiled, happy that her sister had found the love of her life and was getting married to him today. It was a pure eternal bond that was going to build between them today.

Vani knew all too well the hardships Riti had faced to convince their family for this love marriage. Rohan, Riti's boyfriend and soon-to-be husband, belonged to a powerful family with a significant political background. His proposal had initially been met with stern rejection from Riti's parents, but relentless insistence had eventually swayed them.

Riti reminisced about that fateful day when her parents had finally agreed, almost miraculously. She couldn't shake off the feeling of how surreal it had been for her parents to acquiesce.

Vani reassured her, "Don't worry, dii . You look absolutely stunning. Your happiness means everything today. Jiju is going to faint just by looking at your beauty" Vani teased, making Riti blush profusely and the. Slapping her little sister playfully.

Amidst her own worries, Riti was also concerned about Vani. She didn't want anyone to mistreat her younger sister during the wedding functions.

She knew that there were going to be really influential people in her wedding tonight, and many of the men from such family didn't really respect women.

However, as she observed Vani gracefully navigating the challenges and responsibilities, it brought her a sense of relief. She has become so mature for her age.

"Chachi  and chachu must be really proud of you" Riti said suddenly, Vani's laughter ceased, her eyes almost welling up with tears.

"I wish" she smiled.

Riti smiled, though a hint of sadness danced in her eyes. Her little sister wasn't supposed to grow up so quickly.

"Oh my god dii, my eye make up would be ruined." Vani whinned making Riti chuckle.

"Come here let me do my little birdie's makeup" Riti said

"Haww, riti dii, why all your love is for this little monster, atleast love us for this last time" The cousins spoke. Riti smiled and opened her arms, the cousins ran towards her, sharing one last emotional hug with their sister who was going be become someone else's wife.

while everyone was busy enjoying the wedding festivities, someone on the other hand was playing with blood, someone else's blood.

"Hmmm,  I am still not satisfied with my art" The man spoke, disappointed laced his face.

"What can I do more with you?" He questioned himself.

After thinking for a while he tsked.

"You were no fun, ruined my whole mood. Now I am going to punish your dead body too" he knelt in front of a dead man in a dimly lit basement. His body was in the worst state. His hands were cut into several pieces of different shapes, his legs had no skin left on him. His eyes were stabbed with iron and it looked like even his soul must be quivering still standing in the corner.

"Feed him to shera and Tiger"  The man ordered his guard.

"Ok sir" the guards instantly replied and started to work on their task.

"Sir, we are getting late for Rohan sir's wedding. I have brought your sherwani. Please change so we can leave soon"  the man who looked in his late 40s requested. He looked at the dead body and didn't even flinch, he was already used to it and he had really seen worse.

"Don't tell me what to do Kumar, you are my PA and not my dad" Kumar nodded obediently.

As soon as he entered the wedding hall, all eyes turned to him, for he was none other than the Chief Minister of the state, Rudra Singh Rathore. The youngest man to ever serve the state.

The media wasted no time in throwing their questions at him.

"CM sir, how do you feel seeing your younger brother getting married"one of the journalist asked.

"I am really happy. Marriage is the purest bond. This is a new chapter in his life and I wish him and his wife all the best wishes" Rudra smiled.

"Sir when will you be getting married" Another journalist asked, a very expected question.

"Well I am sure you would know it even before me" Rudra said making the journalists laugh thinking he cracked a joke.

"No more questions please, now that you are here please enjoy the wedding and the feast"

Once the media moved away, his demeanor shifted.

He turned cold and questioned his PA "how the media had gained access?"

"some had used connections to get inside." Rudra's anger flared

"Fire the guards responsible for the entrance area and make sure you that everyone who is here is under strict surveillance. No mess ups, kumar or I am going to have your head hung as my wind chime tonight" Kumar nodded and rushed off to monitor his tasks. It would be a lie to say he wasn't scared. He was too scared but never showed it. The Rathore men, especially Rudra and his father who he had served prior for 10 years fed on fear.

Mehek, his cousin, approached him cautiously. Even within his family, Rudra's cold and distant personality was notorious.

"Rudra Bhai, Rohan Bhai is calling you onstage," she informed him, her voice tinged with apprehension.

He nodded and left, heading towards the stage.

"Bhai, where have you been?" Rohan asked.

"Just some important stuff" Rudra said.

"But bh-" Rohan was about to question him again when bride's entry was announced.

Everyone's eyes were now on the entrance except for Rudra who was typing furiously on his phone.

"Oh my god bhabi is so beautiful " he heard someone say.

He gave his phone to his secretary and told her to deal with them.

He turned back to face his brother only to get stilled and frozen to his place watching the beautiful sight in front of him.

No, it wasn't the garland ceremony, but one particular face that seemed to radiate a unique allure, something that set it apart from the rest of the guests. The girl who had caught his attention was none other than Vani. Her presence was magnetic, and her beauty was undeniable.

Rudra was lost for the first time ever and he knew there was no going back.
