You walked home quietly looking down at your feet the entire time. "Why, I don't
understand why anyone would do such a thing", you said to yourself walking down into
the empty streets of Burns TN. You were listening to Near Light by Olafur Arnalds trying
not to cry. "I'll make it to my house before I cry. Yep I'll do it", you said holding tears back.
You clasped as your sadness took over. Crying in an ally was not the best place to be.
"Hey are you ok?" someone said. You looked up to see a guy with dark hair with a few
piercings. He was wearing a black hoodie with ripped jeans.
"yeah I'm fine" you said. He let his hand out.
"You don't look fine"
"You're right, but that's life you're not going to be fine 100% of the time" you took his hand
as he helped you up. Wiping the tears from your eyes you tried your best to introduce
yourself. "My name is Alice, I'm 13"
"I'm Karkat also 13"
"Thanks for helping me"
"No problem"
"Do you have a pesterchum?" You said.
"Yeah" Karkat said You exchanged pesterchum and went on your ways.
