Andy and Summer were lying on her bed, both with earphones in, listening to music.

Andrea got to New York last week after her final exam. The girl was right, her mother was all too happy to be rid of her daughter for the next few months.

"Summer! Andrea!" Margot's voice could be heard from downstairs. "Summer! Where are you? Are you even packed? If you don't get a move on, we'll miss our flight and this comp you so desperately want to attend"

"Taxi's here! Let's go!" Shouted the Torres woman again.

At that Summer jumped out from the bed. She looked at her friend and couldn't help but wonder whether it was a good idea to invite her, she loved her, she did, but Andrea had something intimidating about her and she wondered if her Australian friends would like her. Summer knew it wouldn't matter to the older girl, she was only coming as a reason to convince Margot to let her come, for the amazing beaches and waves that were promised to her and the competition was only another bonus.

The New Yorker thought that almost everything about her was perfect. She was tall, about five foot seven with an athletic build that came from all the sports she did. Andrea had perfect olive skin with a few small tattoos, even tho the only visible ones at the moment were the small stars on her fingers. Her coffee-colored eyes, surrounded by thick, long lashes fit well with her small nose, full lips, amazing bone structure, and those perfectly shaped eyebrows. Her hair was long, black with the font pieces bleached, Andy dyed them often but decided to leave them blonde for the summer. The many gold piercings that adorned her ears matched with the rest of her jewelry. The nose ring and black eyeliner only added to the sharp look she preferred. She was dressed in black sweatpants and a matching hoodie, most likely to be comfortable on the plane, her outfits were mostly on the comfier side, tho Summer knew that if she wanted she would rock anything.

Summer walked around the bed to Andrea's side and started to pull on her arm. The laying girl was too engrossed in her music to notice her friend so she was caught off guard and fell off the bed.

"Yeah, I'm coming, no need for violence" came a grunt from the floor.

After a twenty-two-hour flight, they were finally in Australia, driving a rented car to Shorehaven. Summer was the only one full of energy and excited to be there.

"Hey, Ma, could you try and look a little more excited? We made it!" Summer called out from the back. Andrea was faster and called shotgun so she got to sit in the front. "And you Andy, come on, some energy!"

"Look I know you're all happiness and sunshine because you get to see you're lover boy, but not everyone has to shit rainbows out of their asses because of it" The Californian girl slept on the plane and she still didn't get to drink her wake up coffee, so she was in a pissy mood.

"No need to be such a buzzkill, Andy!"

"Get me a decent coffee and I will stop!"

"Unfortunately, we can't check in until three" Margot used to the bickering between the two just ignored it, instead she commanded the voice assistant in the car "Call Abbie."

"Oh, no, no, no, no." Summer's hand shot out from between the front seats and ended the call before it even began. "We've been away a whole year. Do you not understand the concept of a surprise?"

"Not everyone likes surprises," Margot argued.

"I don't" chimed in the girl in the passenger seat.

"They're gonna love this one." Argued Summer further.

Andrea only chuckled "We'll see about that."

After about half an hour they arrived at a small house.

As soon as the car stopped, Summer jumped out and ran for the door.
