Barry was working last in his lab when he suddenly got a frantic call from Iris. She’s at the Baldwin Tower being chased by some men with guns. He tells her to jump out a window and trust him before speeding off. Barry gets there as the Flash just as she jumps out the window. He runs up the building and catches her before running back down. Iris quickly hugs  him before running in the building and taking care of the robbers. Apparently she was following a lead on a real estate scam.

S.T.A.R labs basement

Barry, Jay, Mushroom, Lea, Cisco and Caitlin were in the basement looking at the biggest breach which happened to be in the S.T.A.R labs basement. Cisco instituted on naming the breach but Caitlin reminded him that the breach isn’t a pet. Stein walked in just then. “Professor Stein, what are you doing?” Cailtin asked, “Your blood pressure is 147 over 82! You could pass out again.”

“Oh, it’s merely a few points above the 140 average for someone my age. Besides, I have some idea I would like to contribute to this discussion, Dr. Snow.” Stein stated.

“And I want to hear them.” Jay said, “This isn’t just a wormhole. It’s my way home.”

“Back to Earth-2” Caitlin smiles.

“Jay, you really think that we can use this as some kind of bridge from your world to ours?” Barry asks.

“Zoom uses the breaches. Why can’t we?” Jay responds.

“Well, we don’t know how.” Cisco points out. “Everything I put through just bounces back.”

“I still don’t appreciate you throwing me and Ghost in.” Mushroom says glaring at Cisco who just steps back.

“If Zoom’s using these breaches to transport people from Earth-2, maybe it takes a speedster.” Barry suggests.

“Barry no”

“Barry, yes.”

Barry runs to the far end of the room.

“He’s not gonna…” Cisco trails off.

“Yeah, he is.” Jay says.

Barry tries to run into the breach but gets knocked back onto the floor and rolls a little ways away. Lea helps him up.

“Maybe I’m not fast enough.” Barry says.

“Maybe you’re a dumbass.” Mushroom says.

“I don’t believe your speed is the entirety of the issue, Barry. It might be the breach’s stability or lack thereof.” Stein stated.

“He’s right. We need to think of the breach as a door, and on Earth two, there’s another door. In between, we have a hallway, but the hallways’ constantly shifting, twisting, collapsing upon itself.” Jay stated.

“And the doors keep moving with it.” Lea finished.

“So we stabilize the door, we stabilize the hallway.” Cisco stated.

“And then I can jump through it.” Barry says.

“Not even close, mister.” Mushroom states.

“Exactly. It would serve as a kind of cannon. A speed cannon.” Jay says.

“We should hang out more.” Cisco says.

“All right. No more tests today. All of you are leaving now. As am I. Cherish the gift of youth as I will go cherish my much-needed nap. Clarissa’s already on her way to pick me up.” Stein says as he leaves.
