Have you ever felt like you're living in slow motion? Maybe like the world has stopped around you and you seem like you're in a mystical book? You can see things coming and know exactly what's going to happen and even though you want to, there's no way you can stop it. Right now I feel as if that's my case. I see a bullet moving through the air and flying directly towards the heart of a man that holds mine, yet I feel as if there's nothing I can do.

I don't have much strength and I know I can barely move, but I have to do something. A bolt of adrenaline runs through me and I snap the cloth in half that was around my ankles. I yank back my arms away from themselves and the other cloth came ripping in two. Kendall's body touches mine as he hits the concrete and I sling forward, pushing him back into the alley. A cold sharp pain strikes me on the outside of my ribcage in a layer of my skin and I know the bullet hit me, but that's it, it hit me not Kendall. It didn't burn, but it tingled enough for me to crouch back down on the ground as I hit it. I hear boots scamper towards me and once their close enough, Isaac realizes it was me he hit instead of Kendall.

"Get out of the damn way Lauren!" He yells as he picks me up by my shoulder and throws me across the ground.

"Leave her alone!" Kendall yells as he stands quickly, moving forward.

"And what are you going to do about it?" Isaac's voice slithers. Kendall's fist comes flying and lands on the jaw of the slithering snake. Isaac's face comes back in suspense of what just  happened and his hand  moves up. I see the gun moving towards Kendall. Logan comes running "Watch out!" but one of the dark figures throws a swing at him and he plies onto the ground. James is next and he picks a fight with the buffer man running straight towards him. I hear punches being thrown and grunts be echoed. Lilly, Emma and Christy are off in the distance because I hear their shacking screams. Isaac stalled for a second to look at them and it was long enough for me to find any sort of strength of my body to lift myself up onto the ground. Kendall launched forward and grabs my shoulders causing Isaac to turn back fast. Kendall tries to grip me so he can move me out of the way but as he does I fight him and swing my body hard in a circle. He catches on and with his strength he whips me into the air and my right foot slings out. I kick with a force and knock the black magnum flat out of blond man's hand. It goes shooting across the alley and lands straight in front of Christy.  She quickly kicks the man holding her in his groin and he falls to the ground beneath her. Immediately she falls on her knees and her delicate hands grip the cold metal as she picks it up and holds it in her hands. Her eyes gleam at it and a look appears on her face I've never seen before.

"Christy no!" I hear a short Latino come screaming.  She doesn't move. Well, not at first. Her head rises up and she looks straight into Isaac's cold blue eyes.

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." He says as he crosses his arms and sits back on his left leg. Everyone who is fighting freezes and the commotion stops around us. I step back into Kendall and he leans in front of me. I latch onto his left hand and he holds it tight in response.

Carlos comes running up behind Christy and kneels down to her. She doesn't even notice instead she rises to her feet and brings the gun with her.

"Want a little taste of what your sister had Christina?"

"Enough!" she sneers. Her voice is vicious and haggard.

"What? Can't handle the truth?" he responds. My eyes flicker from both of them as I try to figure out what is going on. I look up to Kendall and he his face turns slightly to me but it's a face of shame. He looks back towards them. I come closer to his backside. My left hand tightly grips on his arm of the hand I'm holding.

"I've had enough truth with you" Christy says. "Killing her was the biggest mistake you've ever made" she says as she raises the gun straight to the middle of Isaac's temple.

"You wouldn't do it. You're scared just like she was. You're just another Brooks, Christina" Isaac says and he begins walking around her in a circle. She follows him, keeping the gun directly on him.

"You know, you're family wasn't so hard to mess with. Marrying her was the fun part. No one saw it coming. But I do have to say, you’re brother was the funniest to kill." I saw her grip the gun tight and just stare at him. I knew why too. Her brother, Beau, has been missing for three years. I saw the paper from Detroit in Isaac's bag one day when I was unpacking it. Every piece fits in place now as he just confessing to murdering him. The horrid thing is in the newspaper it said Beau was not only his sister's brother, but her best friend. I never knew it was Christy who was his sister…

"Christy don't" Kendall says and I feel his muscles tighten up.

"No let her Kendall, she'll get rid of me and you'll have the one you clam to love, she's worthless anyway" He states as he turns towards us. Kendall moves forward to speak and reject but I pull his arm back. Isaac speaks before he has the chance to. "Let her take me down the way I took down most of her family. I remember her sisters pleading cry of 'Why!' She was a screamer. Never wanted to shut up either.  I also remember her brothers scared eyes as the knife slide across his throat. His expression never changed. He just stood there with pure red blood running down his cold haggard body" He aggressively states on every last word he speaks.

He doesn't have time turn back around as her finger pulls the trigger. Again, I feels like it's in slow motion  but this time no one was going to stop it. I flinch as the silver bullet goes straight through Isaacs's cruel heart. He grabs at his chest and falls down to his knees. He coughs and blood flicker up his throat and comes out of his mouth. I hold onto Kendall because I feel the pain my heart aches. Even if this man was a killer of innocent people, at one point in my life I did love him. It might have been just for a short second, but it was the sad truth, I did love him.
