Once Upon a Fairy Tale (A Kendall Schmidt Fanfic)

Chapter 14...... Another goodbye?,,,,,

Have you ever felt like you were out of a circle?  A round circle where normally nothing can escape or enter its circularity, yet you feel like you should know what's going on. I feel like that. Nothing is making sense. Kendall is rushing me down the stairs and as we hit the parking garage of the hotel I see everyone hovering over a car.

"Kendall, what is going on?" I ask for the millionth time. Just like before he hasn't answered me. He just keeps his eyes on the smart phone in his hands.

"Lauren" Emma comes over and grabs my arm. I hold onto her as I let go of Kendall's hand. His eyes come off his phone for a second to see where I went to, but as soon as he sees who I'm with they glue back down.

"Emma, can you tell me what's going on?" I ask sounding angry.

"It's nothing Lauren, we've just got to get on the road" She says as she moves me towards the black escalade. Christy jumps in the front seat and Lilly takes the passenger seat. Emma opens the door on the passenger side and climbs in.

"Come on" I hear her say. I turn back to Kendall who's discussing something with the guys and he looks up. His eyes went back to sympathy and to me it seems that he realizes I need him. He gives them a hand gesture and walks over to me. I don't know what to say to him because everything I say he hasn't been answering. He reaches out his hands and entwines them with mine. I look at him, and then quickly look away as I feel water pushing the rims of my eye sockets.

"Hey, Lauren….  Look there's nothing bad going on, we're just trying to make sure nothing's going to happen to you. You were already torn away from me and I don't want you torn away again." The anger that I had with Emma shivers over me once again.

"You're tearing me away from you by sending me across the U.S." His eyes flicker back and forth from mine.  He shakes his head and closes his eyes. As they reopen he speaks.

"I know…. It's only for two days though. I promise we'll be together after that. Nothing's going to stop that" His hand comes up to my eyes and wipes the corners where there are peaks of tears showing. I look back up at him and I can't believe what is happening. I left for him and now I'm leaving because of him. This is happening way to fast.

                The car engine roars as Christy hit the accelerator telling us it's time to go. We look back at each other. Kendall's mouth reacts so fast I didn't even have time to think.

"I love you Lauren"  

"I love you too Kendall" He grips the side of my face and our heads lean in. As our lips touch I didn't want to move. Love strikes in the air. It felt so good, but now it felt so bad. I know Kendall is hiding something from me; he's not a good liar. He pulled back and rested our foreheads together. A smile crept on his face, but nothing approached on mine. Emma's head popped out and called.

"Lauren, come on let's go" Kendall moved first. He took my hand and led me to the car. I climbed in and he helped me with my seat belt. He kissed my cheek as his backed away.

"Bye Lauren" The sound of his voice scared me. Why was he saying bye? Normally he says "see you later" or something along those lines. I'm worried now.  My mouth doesn't corporate with my brain.  

"Goodbye Kendall" and that was it. He shut the door and my window started rolling up. Before the glass was completely rolled up I heard Kendall's voice mingle with the other guys.

"Okay, the plan's started. Carlos, you know what to do"
