For days after the battle, spontaneous parties break out all over the planet. It seems like everyone just feels like celebrating their regained freedom and the victory over their invaders. Neighbors help each other rebuild their homes and mourn their dead, but celebrating the living seems to be highest on everyone's mind.
A week after the battle, the rulers of every country on the planet agreed over a conference call to make a public planet wide holiday, the first worldwide holiday in the history of the planet. A huge dinner and ball is planned at the palace and most citizens have smaller parties in their homes.
The warriors from Kannika are invited to attend the celebrations at the palace. P'Pakin agrees to stay since it is basically in their honor and it's good for relations between the two planets. Rain can't help but to giggle at the sight of the prim and proper people of Thurlian III mixed with the rambunctious alphas of Kannika. He sees more than one omega, and not a few betas and alphas, looking at the warriors appreciatively. Rain didn't blame them; they were a handsome group, none more so than his P'Phayu. He draws closer to P'Phayu so people can see he is claimed.
"There will be many victory babies born on both planets in a few months." P'Pakin says. He is seated near them.
"Victory babies?" Rain asks P'Phayu.
P'Phayu points to a couple trying to stealthily leave the room.
"Oh," Rain says, realization hitting him. "I guess we celebrated a little prematurely." He laughs, laying his hand over his abdomen.
P'Phayu laughs as well and puts his hand on top of Rains. "I guess we did."
Some of the younger, mateless alphas chose to stay on Thurlian III. Some joined the royal guard and security forces, others just as private citizens. They considered it a great adventure.
Some of the other alphas and their families chose to leave Kannika to become star travelers themselves. They took their lead from P'Phan who traveled with her omega Captain Ple exploring the universe.
Rain and Phayu stayed another week while an investigation was underway to find out who had slipped the invaders inside information. Finally, two high ranking government officials were discovered who had been passing information off planet for years. They had sold out their own people for a cut in an addictive drug that the invaders trafficked in. The innocent enough plant used to produce it was readily available on Thurlian III, which is why their planet had been invaded.
Rain and Sky both elected to be ambassadors for their planet. It is decided that Rain will work out of P'Phayu's home and Sky will have his office at the palace of P'Pai's parents. Rain can't help but notice Sky has barely left P'Pai's side since the alpha was wounded protecting him.
Engineers from Thurlian III return with them from Kannika to set up teleportation gates at P'Phayu's home, and P'Pai's along with communication equipment. Several of the clans also get communication equipment as well but the use of gates is strictly regulated by P'Pakin with the exception of the two ambassadors.
Over the next few months, Rain finds himself very busy. He has several assistants both from Thurlian III and Kannika but there is so much he wants to get set up and in place before the twins are born. To begin with there are trade deals to broker, and visas for people to visit or work between their two planets. They also have to be careful about people wanting to transport any vegetation or animals between the planets because they can become an invasive species.
Some days P'Phayu has to make Rain leave his makeshift office, reminding him that he needs frequent rests and to eat nutritional rich foods. Rain has developed a bad habit of grabbing whatever is handy for meals while he is working.
