The sun was just starting to peek through the curtains in Adhiraaj's room, but he was still fast asleep. He lay on his bed without a shirt, a peaceful smile on his face, like he was having a lovely dream.
Suddenly, someone's laughter woke him up, and his happy expression turned into an annoyed one. He frowned and tried to wake up quickly. He looked at his phone and saw it was already six in the morning. He got even more upset, thinking he had overslept and missed his gym time. He grabbed a gun from the drawer next to his bed, deciding he wanted to kill whoever had disturbed his nice dream.
He stood at the balcony door, shirtless and only in his boxers, his messy hair falling over his eyes. Angry, he slid the door open roughly, but his anger disappeared as soon as he saw who was laughing. It was 'his Raniji'. She was swinging gently on the swing he had hung from a tree near the outhouse. He had used strong chains and beautiful Burma teak wood for this swing. He was happy that 'his Raniji' seemed to like it.
He gasped softly when he saw her bare legs as her skirt had gone up while she was swinging. Even though she wasn't a model, there was something about her that made him want to marry her. He wanted to own her completely. He pushed away these thoughts and looked at Ankita. She was talking to a friend he hadn't seen before. He felt like blaming Ankita for distracting him. After seeing this beautiful girl, Adhiraaj forgot about all other women. He couldn't stop thinking about her, even after just a short look.
He watched 'his Raniji' carefully. He frowned, confused, as she hugged the other girl like it was the last time they would see each other. This seemed strange to him since they both lived on the same property. But he didn't care why, because it made him happy to think there was one less person wanting 'his Raniji's' attention. He wanted her to only focus on him.
He was unhappy to see her sad face as she went into the house. He would do anything to see her smile, but not right now. He didn't want to help her get her friend back, as that would create more distance between them. He planned to get rid of anyone who tried to get close to her before their wedding. Watching her disappear inside, Adhiraaj went back to his room to get ready for the day.

"Who is she?" Ankita asked Shyamla when she saw a woman she didn't know in their new home. The girl stood there with her lips twisted and her hands firmly on her hips. Even though she asked repeatedly who Malti was, she didn't try to move from the doorway. Shyamla ignored her question for a bit, but Ankita kept asking.
"I am related to your bua through marriage," Malti answered, noticing Shyamla's hesitation.
"Is it Kaki?" Malti looked meaningfully at Shyamla, who just nodded.
"I got a job on this property, and Kaki asked me to live with all of you," Malti explained when she saw Ankita looking confused at the entrance.
"Oh," Ankita just said.
"Raniji is really cute," Malti commented when she saw Ankita's confused face, giving her a playful smile. Adhiraaj had warned Malti not to use Ankita's real name or any other nickname, only Raniji.
Ankita frowned. "My name is Ankita, not Raniji," she said, crossing her arms and sighing angrily. "And I'm much younger than you, so you don't need to be formal with me. In fact, whether you like it or not, I'm going to call you 'didi'." Malti laughed at Ankita's innocence, but she also felt sorry for the girl. She looked at Shyamla with raised eyebrows, and Shyamla just nodded helplessly, showing that Ankita hadn't been told about her marriage to Adhiraaj. She knew she had to tell Adhiraaj about this, or he would be furious with her for keeping it a secret.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone ringing. She looked uneasy when she saw who was calling. Trying to hide her worry, she quickly answered the phone so she wouldn't make him angry.
