To get straight answers?

Why does nobody ever

Why do I continue on?

Like this?

What is happening to me?

Chapter 12

So today’s the day. It’s scary quiet, not only because we are walking outside alone, humans and everyone is still here, but we were just now waiting. My hair was in a ponytail, I had on a white t-shirt, skinny jeans that I could run in, leather boots that went to my knees and were skin tight, and easy to run in. I was next to Aiden, I was calm, but scared. Aiden looked at me, and put his hand in mine. Our hands locked together, I was trembling and I didn’t even realize it. His hand in mine though, it helped calm me down. Toshiro was in front, and Alex behind us. But then it hit me. "Hey, where’s Dra-?!" but I was cut off, but the sounds of people screaming and running away. But not for long, the screams quickly stopped. And the people around us were gone. It was now deserted. There were buildings around up and we were in the middle of a street. Cars were now looking abandoned, but actually their owners gone. Don’t tell me that Drake is-?! We heard laughing. The sky was suddenly cloudy, and the wind was stronger. This can’t be true, this isn’t happening. How could this be? But it was. Drake, flew before us. His black wings looked even bigger. They were huge, and there was a black aura so big that you could see it, that was around him.

"BASTARD!" Aiden yelled at Drake. He laughed," You mad little man? Surprised that I am the one who will end this world and take your little girlfriend? Hah! Maybe I’ll just kill her if I can figure out a way." Drake said, my blood drained from my face. I knew I looked pale. Toshiro spoke up," HOW? Why Drake?" he asked confused. For once, Alex was the one quiet. But you could see fire in his eyes. "I don’t know exactly. But I have always been the one who was quiet. The one no one really paid attention to, the one who was always farthest behind. And one night, a little before you found that girl, Joy,-" He pointed at me with a calm, yet disgusted look on his face,"- I had a dream of this day. And I figured it out easily. But since I knew that the only one who can supposedly stop me, was this little weakling girl over there, I wanted to try killing her so it would be less bothersome." He said coldly to us. "So," Aiden said in a surprisingly calm voice, looking down. "You were the one who possess Joy somehow all those times? Trying to kill her?" Aiden let go of my hand and clenched it into a fist. He looked up and shouted the last part. I have never seen Aiden so angry, so... fearful. Drake laughed in his face. "You angry boy? Sad that you were tricked when I was just under your nose? That I almost killed her many times? What are you going to do?" "I am going to KILL YOU! YOU BASTARD!" Aiden screamed, flying up to him, only to be brushed aside with sort of hand… it was like his aura of black around him was also his body! Drake had moved his arm, and a giant black arm reached out and hit Aiden, the same motion Drake had made. But it disappeared after it. Aiden was flung far away. "AIDEN!" I screamed in horror. Aiden! Drake can kill him and the rest at any minute now! Yet he still goes, getting himself more and more hurt. Drake laughed as Aiden tried again and again to get him. "Aiden stop! You’re going to get yourself killed!" Toshiro yelled at him. Aiden had been flung again and hit a wall up high against a building. "NO! AIDEN!" I screamed again in horror, running towards him. He fell to the ground and I just barely caught him in time. "B-bastard! Let me go!" Aiden shouted as I held him down, not letting him out of my grasp for even one second. He had blood dripping down the side of his forehead, making a path of blood streaming down his face as he moved, making it open more. "Stop!" I shouted at him. Tears were filling my eyes. I looked back at Alex and Toshiro. Alex had seemed to have taken Aiden’s place, but he was so reckless and had so much stamina that he wouldn’t notice himself being hurt till someone told him. Toshiro yelled trying to tell him to stop, as Drake laughed. No. I thought. This is all because of me. If only I wasn’t born. If only they didn’t have to meet me, they would be getting hurt. I looked back down at Aiden, who was starting to get weak, but continued struggling. My vision blurred as the tears fell down my face. "Please stop." I whispered my voice shaky. Drake had now hit Alex again who hit a car, and stopped moving. My tears came faster. Aiden stopped struggling and looked at me. I looked at him. "Please don’t get up. I don’t want you to die Aiden. Please." I pleaded to him. He smiled; another stream of blood was coming down his face. He seemed not to notice. "Why are you crying? I just need some more time and I’ll kill that bastard." He said in a shaky voice, and put his hand on my face. I moved one of my hands over his, pressing it closer to me. I took in shaky breaths in fear, and he did in pain. "You don’t have to, just live. That’s all I need! I just need you!" My tears came faster and faster. He used his other hand to wipe my tears, "Don’t cry Joy. Your name is Joy, be happy." I smiled slightly," Please Aiden, don’t talk, save your breath." I told him. "I love you Joy, remember that. No matter what happens to me, just remember that and don’t die okay? Live on." He said to me. My tears started filling my eyes again. "Don’t say that Aiden, you’re going to be here with me. Forever, remember? We, we promised when we were kids." I said to him. We did? Why did I say that? Suddenly there was a sharp pain in my head as I saw a scene of two kids. Of Aiden and I. "You remember, that’s great, I love you Joy." Aiden said, to me, smiling. "Don’t act like you’re going to die Aiden! I love you! I love you! Don’t leave my side! Please!" I begged, the tears coming out again. He closed his eyes. I looked at his feet, which were slowly fading away. His eyes closed. "NO! NO AIDEN! WAKE UP! DON’T LET DRAKE TAKE YOU! AIDEN WAKE UP! YOU CAN’T LEAVE ME! I’M SCARED! YOU! YOU PROMISED TO PROTECT ME! I LOVE YOU AIDEN! Don’t leave me behind! Don’t leave my side!" I begged, yelled, and pleaded at the same time. I loved Aiden, why does he have to go?! My tears streamed my face. His hand disappeared from my face. "NO! NO! AIDEN PLEASE! NOOOO!!" I bawled as he disappeared into thin air. I put my hands on my face. Why? "WHY!?" I screamed, bawling my eyes out. I heard Drake laugh. I looked back to see Toshiro being thrown all over the place. Alex was still on the car not moving. Toshiro hit the wall again and fell. He didn’t move. "NO!" I screamed! I ran over to Toshiro. "No Toshiro, it’s going to be okay! Don’t leave! Don’t give up, please!" I begged him, as tears dripped down from my face. "Joy, no matter what happens." Toshiro took a deep and shaky breath. "Keep going, and live. Live for us, live for you, live for the sake of living." Toshiro then closed his eyes. "NO! Toshiro, wake up! Wake up Toshiro!" I said, he was fading away. This couldn’t be happening. No, please God no. he disappeared. "NO!" I screamed, I turned to see Alex’s feet fading. I ran over to him. C’mon Alex! You got to stay! Come on don’t let him take you! Alex please! I don’t want to be alone!" I pleaded, the tears not stopping. Alex smiled," Don’t worry. I know you will save us all, you’re the last soul." He faded away. They all faded away like sand being blown away in the wind. No. Why, why?! I slowly turned towards Drake. The person who made them fade away. "You…you could’ve taken them away at any time, but you chose to cause them pain first." I said to him. My hair fallen out of my ponytail, flapping in my face from the wind. "You despicable bastard." I said, grinding my teeth as the tears flowed. I looked up at him. He laughed again, flew down towards me. He walked up to me and put his index finger under my chin, forcing me to look at him. "Yes, I am a despicable bastard. But who cares? Its only me and you now." He said. My tears flowed even harder. " But what are you going to do about it?" he put his hand around my chin, and brought his face closer to mine," Little Last Soul?" he asked, sarcastically. He had a grin on his face, being happy with his doing. I took a breath in. I punched him in the face. He staggered back. "BITCH!" he said, now angry. I could feel the wind picking up its pace. "What am I going to do? Kill you, and kick your sorry ass." I said to him, fire in my eyes, the tears slowing. As long as I kill him, everyone will be back. But how do I get my power? "We’ll see." Drake said.
