Chapter 6

The days flew by, and before I knew it, I had been there over 2 months. I talked to Aiden more often and the others as well.

I started painting my walls more often, things that stood out, or happened that day. I felt that I was growing closer to Aiden… a lot closer. I also am starting to get mixed feelings about where we both stand now though. Lately, I have been getting dreams of the past. I am getting these odd dreams of a little girl and a little boy. It was starting to scare me. I wanted to run away a lot, and I have been thinking about doing just that too.

Toshiro has called for many meeting to inform us about what has been happening in the human world, and the events happening, that the King of Darkness’s arising will be soon. He said it may be in a month or two. Alex had been visiting me more often to. He seemed up to something, but I wasn’t sure what. He had been a little overly flirtatious, and aggressive. He even cornered me to the wall once, and whispered in my ear, until my face was bright red.

I currently sat in my bed I wore a baggy white t-shirt that was long sleeved and said," Breath "on it, my black convers, and my denim shorts. My hair was in a crazy bun on the side of my head. I got out of my bed, walked out of the room. To the staircase that went around the walls.

I didn’t know where Joy and I stood. I didn’t know what I thought of her, and I didn’t know what to do. I also knew that if we survived the day when the King of Darkness arises, I wouldn’t be able to see her again unless I did something, or better, we. I sat on the edge of the 9th floor. My back leaning on the wall, and one leg up and one leg spread out. I saw a figure walking up the stairs from a lower level of the stairs. I squinted my eyes, it was Joy. I smiled a small one, but it disappeared almost instantly. Alex had flown over and cornered her to the wall.

I was walking up when Alex suddenly was up against me. He had a mischief smile on his face. "Now what do you want? These games of yours are getting old, Alex." I told him, rolling my eyes. I was getting sick of being cornered and stalked by him. His smile widened as he whispered in my ear," This isn’t a game. I like you, is it that hard to believe." I turned slightly red, not because of what he said to me, it’s because whenever a boy gets that close to me, and of course I am going to get embarrassed. I stared at him bluntly, and said," You’re faking this. I just know it." I told him. For a minute I swore I hit something inside of him, I saw it in his eyes, but he quickly recovered and chuckled. "Keep thinking that. I am going to find the bastard that’s name is Drake, who has been gone for a while. Bye for now." With that, he flew away. I was frozen for a minute, and then I took a breath. "Just ignore it, just ignore it…" I muttered to myself, and kept on walking. I was going to the library. It was on the 7th floor.

I had this jab in my stomach. It was weird, I felt like one of those idiot girls on soap operas. But, when I saw her freeze, and then shake it off, for some reason, it angered me. I flew down the 7th floor, where she was about to be.

I was happy when Aiden appeared, I wouldn’t have to walk a TON. The heights didn’t bother me, but walking like 4 miles to get to the top did. "Hey-"I started but he cut me off. "What were you doing with Alex just now?" he asked with an agitated voice. "Nothing, he just pressed me against the wall and said he liked me. But I don’t believe him. Why would he so suddenly like me? I think of him only as a friend. And he also doesn’t seem to make it even look very real." I answered to him, shrugging. "And you think nothing’s wrong when a guy, especially one with powers, presses you against a wall and whispers in your ear?!" He had fire in his eyes as he said this. Was he… jealous? How could that be? Did he even LIKE me? I know I have some mixed feelings and all but… this is AIDEN I’m talking about! Aiden! Of all people! "So? I know he’s faking it." I said shrugging again. "You… think nothing’s wrong with that? Do you know what he might be trying to do?!" I shook my head and said," Why would you even care so much?" He hesitated to answer, and said," Are you blind…?" he looked at me straight in the eye," Don’t you see that I-"he sighed," I like you." He looked me straight in the eyes. I still couldn’t believe it. "You’re kidding." I said, he shook his head," No, I am not. For once I am serious. Am I that hard to believe?" I couldn’t answer him; he looked a little hurt in his eyes, so I said "I’m leaving." I turned and was about to walk down the stairs, when he caught my left wrist, and pulled me back. He kissed me. His lips were warm, but a little rough. He pulled me back and said," What do I have to do to prove that I like you? I have finally figured it out." He had this look in his calming green eyes that I had never seen before. It was… honesty…. It was over whelming to me. Like a wave had crashed over me. But I felt warmth in my heart, something I had never felt before. I nodded slightly, still a little flustered, and his strong arms embraced me. I had always felt like I was missing something in my life. Something I had lost, and was seeking for. I had just found it again. It was a little four lettered word called
