Chapter 13

The time has come

The time to fight

But we have no chance

How can I bring light?

When I am so powerless

When I had to watch in horror

When things don’t go right

When everything is going wrong

What is going to happen now?

As I realize fate

As I realize destiny

I finally figured it out,

That I

Can let it take its path,

Or change it to a whole new meaning.

TO a whole different thing

To save all the ones I love.

Chapter 13

"It’s time to say goodbye." Drake said. He flew up in the air again. He had the most fearful expression on his face. It was getting darker and darker. The wind was getting stronger and stronger. Then he shouted," ITS TIME FOR THIS TO END! MY MINIONS! ITS TIEM TO COME UP! BACK TO EARTH! I ALL CALL FOR MY ARMY FROM HELL!" Drake shouted. What the heck, army from hell? Then I felt something, or someone, grab my ankle. I looked, there was this black thing, coming from the earth like zombies, except they weren’t zombies…or humans. They looked like those black blob people in Kingdom Hearts. I screamed in horror as more and more came up. And more and more were grabbing a hold of me. I tried to break free, but there were too many, and they were all way too strong. "LET ME GO!" I screamed, but it was pointless. Drake laughed," Who’s going to stop me now? I thought you were going to kill me, the despicable bastard? HA!" Drake shouted, and continued to laugh. His laugh got further and further away. I screamed and kicked and pulled, but eventually I couldn’t move at all because of the hold I was in. I was being dragged into the ground. I was in dirt now, being pulled down. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t move. Why? Tears came again. Why did it have to be this way? It wasn’t fair. My life and Aiden, Toshiro, and Alex memories flashed before me. Tears were flowing down. My body felt like it was going to explode from suffocating, and not being able to breathe. I let them all down. I let humanity down. I let myself down. I closed my eyes, and went limp.

But not for long. Joy opened her eyes, which glowed white, pure white like untarnished snow in the winter. Like Aang in the Last Airbender, when he is in the Avatar state. The army from Hell was being destroyed by the light and Joy was going up back to the surface. Joy wouldn’t be forgotten. She was determined, she couldn’t lose. She wouldn’t allow it. She came back to the surface, she had a crystal and diamond shield like thing around her in an Egg shape that was bright. Joy had bent her arms into a half ‘T’ motion, and then swung her arms out, the crystals and diamonds going everywhere. Car horns went off, windows crashed and shattered. Huge white wings came out from her back, and a huge white aura around her, her eyes still bright, she begun to speak. "This world has turned into darkness and black. Humans are not perfect, which is why it ended up this way. As technology and businesses and population grew, the amount of greed and evil expanded and grew. The amount of pure and innocent hearts of people who only wanted the best and good shrunk till there were almost none. No one was ever perfect, but the world had an aura of darkness that the human eye cannot see. We have taken over and destroyed so many beauties in this world, and didn’t even take a second to care. The world was evil and was covered in darkness; all it needed was someone to tell it that." Joy took a single, bright white, feather from her wings. "This feather is what is left of the purity in the world. With this, things will begin anew. And this world shall be cleansed from the darkness." Joy said, and let the feather go. It drifted down slowly, and when it hit the ground, everything was bright white.

Epilogue

The world was cleansed. And humanity was saved from devouring itself in its own sin and darkness. Everything went back to normal for humans; it was like nothing happened for them. But now, things will be different.

I opened my eyes. I wasn’t dead. I saw Toshiro and Alex starting to stand up. We weren’t too far from the tower. But where was Joy? "Where’s Joy?" I asked them, judging by their faces, they didn’t know. Could she be dead? Could it be that saving the world had a sacrifice to give? That’s when I saw her around a bunch of flowers. I ran to her in relief. But when I saw her, her eyes were closed, and she looked like an angel. "Joy?" I said, walking closer towards her, and sat down beside her. I shook her arm a little. "Joy? Joy wake up? It’s me! Aiden! Wake up! Joy!" I said, getting worried, I noticed she wasn’t breathing. She couldn’t be dead. "No,no,no…" I said in horror. I heard Toshiro and Alex walk up. "Come on, joy! Wake up….please!"I pleaded, shaking her. She didn’t move an inch. I felt stupid but tears started filling my eyes up. "C’mon Joy, wake up…please!" I said. I looked at her face. A tear managed to fall and fall onto her face. It almost instantly disappeared. I leaned closer and closer to her face, and kissed her. Please, just please let there be a miracle. Let Joy wake up! I thought. I came up and I saw a tiny movement on her eyelids. "Joy?" I said.

What’s going on? What happened? I feel like my eyelids are heavy. I tried opening them. I failed, I tried again. They moved a little. This was scaring me, I tried again and I managed to open them. The sun and light blurred, and I had to blink a few times to adjust. I saw Aiden’s face. "Hey." He said and smiled, and then he hugged me tightly. I hugged back, never going to let go again. Nothing would separate us again.
