Riley sat on the counter swinging her legs. Beside her Oscar was washing his hands in the sink. She took a moment to look him over considering he was busy washing his hands. Oscar was wearing his usual black joggers the internet made fun of him for and a white button up rolled up at the elbows.

She hadn't left his side for the last few minutes, scared that Mack would come back or that something else would happen.

Oscar turned off the tap and shook off the excess water. "Ready to go back out there?"

"Yep, wait, who are you here with?" Riley asked.

"Lando, his Max and a couple other boys from Mclaren." Oscar answered.

"Okay that's fine I didn't want to be stuck at another table completely full of strangers." Riley hopped down from the counter and followed Oscar out the bathroom door.

He grabbed her hand and tapped it twice, it took a moment before Riley tapped back twice as well.

Now that he knew she was okay Oscar led her through the crowds of interacting people to the VIP area. They stopped at the bar below to grab their drinks first.

"Ooh fancy." Riley commented as they were let through and up the stairs.

"The day job comes with many night perks." Oscar joked back. "We're set up in a booth over at the back."

They walked over to said booth and found Lando and Max in some sort of chugging contest.

"Chug chug chug!" The other men around the table chanted.

Lando slammed his cup down on the table and threw his hands up in the air.

The others cheered as Lando started coughing. Max softly placed his cup down on the table.

"Guys, I found someone else to join us." Oscar interrupted. The men looked up and saw Oscar and Riley standing at the end of the table.

"Ay Oscar's Girlfriend, I didn't know you were here." Lando said holding his hand out for a fist bump.

"Hey Lando, I'm Riley." She said fist bumping him back.

The boys shuffled around so they could sit. Riley ended up on the end, across from Lando.

"What was the chugging contest for?" Riley asked.

"Well it was first going to be a who could drink the most glasses in the time it took for Oscar to get back contest." Max started explaining.

"But he took forever." Lando added in.

"So it turned into a who could chug the quickest contest." Max finished.

"I- Okay then I'm not going to argue that." Riley laughed. "You guys are enjoying your night then."

"Hell yeah! I got a podium for the first time this season, it's the last time of this year that I get to think about how shit my car was hopefully." Lando joked.

Everybody laughed at his statement, the Mclaren sure had come a long way from the start of the season.

"Wow by the sounds of it you don't plan on sleeping tonight." Riley commented.

"Speaking of it's almost midnight." Oscar said.

"Wait how can you tell?" Riley asked.

"There's a clock on that wall." Oscar pointed.

Riley looked in the direction he was pointing and did find a clock on the wall. While she was looking she had subconsciously leaned into Oscar and he placed his arm around her shoulders, holding her closer.

The noise level erupted in the club as midnight struck and Riley was curious why, she wasn't one to party a lot, so the sudden noise change was weird.

Riley frowned as she looked over the balcony and saw all the couples kissing and dancing amongst their friends. That should have been her and Mack.

"Hey." Oscar whispered, tapping her shoulder, "you shouldn't think about that asshole."

It was if he had dug into inner thoughts and cast out the anger and sadness.

"You're right, wanna dance?" She asked.

"Uh I don't really know how to dance." Oscar admitted.

"Well neither do I, but hey we can try." Riley scooted out of the booth and Oscar followed her.

Once they made to an area with less people and tables to bump into,Riley wrapped her arms around Oscar's neck.

"Oh I didn't realise you meant like ballroom dancing." Oscar laughed. "I know how to dance like that."

Wait, you do?" Riley asked, "I never would have guessed that."

"Yeah it surprises most people." Oscar responded, "but I did go to a British boarding school."

He had placed his hands on her hips and they were swaying to the music.

"This is so weird." Riley laughed, "We're in a club slow dancing to Edm music."

"It is a bit weird yeah."

Suddenly out of nowhere Lando and Max appeared beside them. "The other lads are going home." Lando explained, "so we thought we'd join the dance fest."

Max and Lando began to dramatically waltz around, terribly.

"Wow guys great dancing." Oscar sarcastically said, shaking his head.

They danced for a little while longer until Riley began yawning every 2 minutes. It became harder to dance then.

"Okay I think it's time for you to head off." Oscar laughed as she yawned again. "I'll drop you off at your hotel room again if you want?"

His voice dropped as he said that last part mindful of the fact that Lando and Max didn't know they were fake dating.

Riley made a face as he mentioned the hotel. "Uh I kinda don't want to go back to my room yet, Mack's probably there with the other girl and i don't have anywhere else to go." She whispered.

Oscar's expression softened, "you can stay with me if you want, my hotel room's basically a mini apartment."

"You sure? I don't want to be a nuisance." Riley asked, although the longing look on her face betrayed her voice.

"Since when would you be a nuisance." Oscar said, "I'm ready to go if you are."

Riley nodded and they separated. Ignoring the lingering tingles on his body Oscar walked over to Lando and told them they were leaving while Riley grabbed her bag and Oscar's jacket from the booth.

They walked down the stairs and through the crowds that had slowly begun to thin out.

They got outside and a cold gust of midnight wind made Riley shiver. Oscar immediately began to shrug his black jacket off.

"Hey, it's okay I'll warm up in the car." Riley said.

"Nah I gotta do the gentlemanly thing, here." Oscar handed her his jacket and Riley slipped it on when she thought Oscar wasn't looking.

He grinned to himself at her antics, she could be so cute sometimes and it was unfair that Mack didn't see that.

They didn't have to walk for long, Oscar was parked near the front of the nightclub and the black Mclaren was easily noticeable.

"Damn I guess the job does come with good perks." Riley said looking the car over.

"Yeah, now stop geeking over my car, you can do that when you've had some sleep." Oscar said, unlocking the car.

Riley took extra care when opening the door before hopping in. She immediately put her seatbelt on and grinned like a little kid as Oscar started the engine up.

Out of the park they pulled and off into the night they went.
