As Verdigo died he later woke up in a grey void. Nothing could be seen or felt nearby. There was nothing. Verdigo was floating there. He couldn't do anything. He couldn't move, the only thing he could do was flail around. Then he tried screaming. It was a bad idea, the screams just echoed back and forth. So he did nothing. He was hoping that something would happen. Anything.

Nothing had happened. That was until he saw a bunch of golden strings come and wrapped around his limbs. He tried to fight them but it was useless. The strings pulled him into a portal, and once through he blacked out.
