Chapter 4
7 months later
Diana is currently in her 9th month of pregnancy. The twins are currently 13 months old.
"I'm so nervous for tonight"Alec said as he pulled on a hoodie to wear to the park that night.
"You're gonna be fine" Diana said kissing him as he wrapped his arms around her.
"What would I do without you?" Alec asked as he stepped backed rubbing her stomach.
"No clue"Diana said as the twins played loudly on the floor around them.
"Are you sure you can make tonight's game?"alec asked worried and Diana giggled.
"Let's not have this Convo next year, so far we had it last year now this year"Diana said before kissing Alec.
"I'll be with the other players families I'll be fine"Diana promised soon it had been a few hours later and the Phillies had won the wildcard meaning they'd go to the post season for the second year in a row. The team all rushed on the field excited before the families were finally able to join them:
"We did it!"alec yelled embracing his wife and picking up Kylie who was frightened by all the noise and wearing her bohm jacket which matched Kadens.
"I'm so proud of you!"diana said before kissing him as she held Kaden.
"That's Alec's wife and kids on the field now" the announcers said as cameras focused on them and Alec gave the fans a wave.
"Hi Alec great game tonight!" The interview said and Alec beamed with pride.
"Thanks" Alec said as he balanced Kylie on his hip.
"She looks like you" the interview said with a smile as she looked at Kylie.
"Thanks this is Kylie" Alec said kissing her cheek as Kylie shyly tried to bury her head in Alec.
"Are you proud of daddy?" The interview asked and Kylie shook her head no causing Diana Alec and the interviewer to laugh.
"Are you proud of daddy?" The interviewer asked Kaden as he looked around excited.
"Daddy!" Kaden said reaching for Alec who happily took him and held both twins now.
"They're so cute I think they're stealing the spotlight"the interviewer said and Alec chuckled.
"They're good at that, but we are super excited to go to the post season aren't we bud?" Alec asked Kaden who shyly nodded.
"Can you say go Phillies?" The interview asked and Kaden nodded and said it the best he could.
"Alright Alec congrats I'll let you go celebrate with your family"the interviewer said as Alec nodded and helped the twins wave to the camera before waking off with the kids and Diana.
"Are you okay? Not excited enough to be in labor?" Alec asked and Diana shook her head no.
"Baby is fine hanging in there"Diana said as Kaden bolted and ran to trea tuner and his son Beckham who was Kadens age and he had plenty of playdates with him, Alec was quick on Kadens tail bringing him back as he cried.
"We can try to walk the bases with them, something has to get this baby to want to be out"Diana said as she patted her stomach.
"You'll have a few days and shouldn't miss a game if I do give birth" Diana said Alec nodded taking her hand and starting to walk the bases with Diana as she held Kylie and Kaden rushed ahead of them to backham.
"He's fine" Kristen treas wife yelled back to them and Diana nodded thanking her as her and Alec continued.
"I kinda wanted to walk the bases with my son, but what better moment for Kaden to remember walking the bases with the turners" Alec said and Diana giggled.
"I think I'm gonna head out tho with the babies soon, you should celebrate with your team"Diana told him and Alec shook his head no.
"I want to celebrate with you and my kids"Alec said before kissing her they were interrupted when Brandon ran over.
"Post season let's go!"brandon yelled scaring Kylie and she started crying before Alec took her from Diana.
"Brandon congrats"Diana said hugging her brother as Alec comforted Kylie.
"You should have the baby during the World Series!" Brandon said excited and Diana rolled her eyes.
"B, the baby comes when the baby is ready not when we are or I'd have given birth days ago"Diana said shaking her head.
"I did suggest it tho" Alec said with a shrug and Diana playfully tapped his shoulder.
"Go celebrate with—"Diana said before she felt a sharp pain and Alec quickly turned his attention to her.
"Are you alright?" Alec asked and Diana nodded.
"I'm probably just too excited, I'll go sit you celebrate ok?"diana said forcing a smile and Alec looked confused.
"B, watch the twins play?"Alec said and brandon nodded as Alec took Diana's hand leading her away from the crowd.
"What's wrong?"Alex asked firmly and Diana let out a deep breath.
"I'm just in some pain" Diana said and Alec's face went red.
"Diana! Damn it this is my baby too"Alec told her as if he was reminding her.
"You've got to tell me these things"Alec said raising his voice unintentionally.
"Alec I'm fine and so is the baby I didn't want to ruin your night just please calm—"Diana started but was interrupted when her water broke.
"Fuck"Alec said as Diana took another deep breath and Alec quickly called Brandon over and he jogged over holding the twins.
"We have a situation here, I need you to take the kids for the night can you do that? I will give you the key to the house if I need something I'll use Diana's key, get whatever the twins need for tonight but right now I have to get my wife to the hospital"Alec said and Brandon nodded before giving Diana a hug.
