4) Kokushibo's POV :

I know I have to go, but..
I want to stay this time.
Lord Muzan's judgement is true and probably for the best, but my body isn't allowing me to move at the moment.
Lord Muzan is busy with some vials.
Maybe..

Kokushibo was second guessing his thoughts extremely much.
He was ordered to leave, but he just wanted to stay.
He got up from the floor and walked towards the red eyed demon.
Maybe he should just come clean and tell Muzan his problem, he knew that Muzan knew, but maybe it needed to be more obvious and spoken about.
This problem, needed to be fixed somehow.
It has to be fixed, Kokushibo could not afford to lose his focus more than he already had.
Kokushibo was about to say something until..

K : "Wait, Lord Mu-"

Kokushibo was stunned.
The moment he was about to say something, he stayed completely quiet, as did Muzan.
He'd never been this exactly close to Muzan before, and it showed in his surprised expression.
They stayed in the exact same position for a few moments, to be exact, they felt paralyzed.
Both of them wore expressions of pure shock and slight concern.
Their faces were legitimately a few inches from each other, which was extremely awkward in many ways.

Muzan quickly moved his fist in front of his mouth to clear his throat a bit,
Doing his best to avoid eye contact as much as possible.
Looking away and expecting Kokushibo to do the same.

Kokushibo followed Muzan's lead, looking away and taking a few steps back.
He tried his best to ignore the situation, but it was hard to.
Especially since they almost kissed a few seconds ago.
Immediately bowing down to Muzan and kneeling down on one knee as usual, lowering his head once more, this time, he only did that to avoid eye contact.

K : "Lord Muzan, I apologize for talking without permission and not leaving immediately.
Please accept my apology, I'll make sure this never happens again."

M : "... You're dismissed uppermoon 1."

K : "..Yes, Lord Muzan."

And exactly like that, Kokushibo immediately left the infinity castle.
The biwa lady teleported him out, leaving only Muzan in the infinite estate.

Now I really messed up.
There's no coming back from this.
Lord Muzan allowed me to live 2 times before, but a 3rd time is just pushing it.
...

Kokushibo was extremely embarrassed and ashamed by now, this whole situation sucked and he himself knew it.
He had no idea on how to deal with it either, it was extremely stressful now.

Just a few days ago, his mind was blank, now his mind was full with more and more problems.
Each problem bigger than the last, it was extremely distracting from everything else in the world right now.

He walked through the empty village in completely silence.
Taking deep breaths with every step, he had regenerated from the earlier punishment that Muzan gave him a while ago, so at least that wasn't a problem anymore.
The village was quiet and empty, did they get slaughtered or evacuated?
Either way, it was nice and quiet.
Kokushibo even stopped by some random buildings to explore inside, just to get himself distracted about what happened earlier.
