A/N: okay, just a little side note, does anybody else think this fan art reminds you of Hawks...? Like just picture Hawks' facial expressions and it looks like this. No? Just me? Okay, cool. Continue.
*no art is mine btw*I watched as Naruto sprung out at Kakashi Sensei.
He won't go down like that, dobe.
I watched their fight ( or rather, the pitiful one-sided massacre) until Kakashi Sensei made a familiar hand sign.
Is he going to use a... Fire jutsu...?!
Uh, yeah, not quite...
Kakashi Sensei ran up behind him and shouted, "A Thousand Years of Death!"
Naruto went flying into the water with a long, drawn out cry of pain, clasping his hands across his... injured area...?
I blinked.
What the hell did I just witness?
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of pink, and I looked over to see Sakura hidden in the underbrush. She gave a slight chuckle at the ridiculous move, then refocused.
She continued watching Kakashi intently, completely focused on one thing: getting a bell. A corner of my mouth lifted automatically. She was so determined.
I turned my attention back to Kakashi as-
I let out a small grunt of surprise.
Naruto...?
Shadow clones?
How many were there?
There must've been over a hundred Narutos.
(Wouldn't that be interesting; note the sarcasm).
But despite all the clones attacking him, Kakashi Sensei just kept reading his... uh, his book... as the Narutos attacked, one after another. It seemed as though, even if he could produce so many clones, he couldn't really use them very well.
He'd have to work on that.
Among other things, I thought as he got caught in the most obvious trap. The bell was sitting there, on the ground, and as he stepped forward to grab it, a rope shot around his ankle, lifting him up into the air. I smirked. Only a complete novice would've fallen for that one.
But then again, this was Naruto. What else did I expect?
Whatever. It's my turn now.
I smirked as I slowly moved around behind him, careful not to make a sound. He was focused on his, um, reading, the whole time.
What a loser. More focused on reading erotica than being a Shinobi. He's like a housewife. He's supposed to be a Jonin, but I could beat him easily.
I continued my silent judgements as I snuck into position. Right as I was about to fly out and attack, a surprisingly small but strong hand clamped around my arm.
Sakura pulled me back just in time to see Kakashi turn towards us, make direct eye contact, then disappear. He knew where I was the whole time...
How...?
I gave Sakura a questioning glance. She leaned close and whispered in my ear.
"Don't underestimate this man. He may not seem like it, but he's highly skilled. He's not a Jonin level Shinobi for nothing, you know."
