10 ~ unexpected news

you woke up in the middle of the night, out of nowhere. You check the time and it was 2AM, for some reason you felt hungry and wanted a snack. You sighed and put on a jacket and some longer pants to go outside, you felt a bit bad for leaving jeongin alone and not telling him you're gonna go to a convenience store (in the middle of the night? Yes, because it's safe in Korea. I think?). You decided to just go, and tell him later. He's a deep sleeper, he won't wake up. Right?

As I was outside walking, not really knowing my surroundings since my eyes were attached to my phone, I suddenly heard someone call my name? Who? You stopped in the middle of the road and looked back, you didn't see anyone but just incase you decided to wait a little longer. As you were about to walk away, there he is.

It's... Chan? What's he doing here?

"Chan: hey naeun!"

"Huh? Oh, hi chan-ssi."

"C: chan-ssi? Come on, we're friends. Just call me chan."

"oh, hello chan." You chuckled, a bit embarrassed.

"C: anyway, what're you doing in the middle of the night?"

"I should really be asking you the same. I'm just going to the convenience store close by."

"C: mind me going with you?"

"Sure!"
"But still, what are you doing right now?"

"C: I was practicing late at night. I just wanted to get some fresh air and go back to the dorms, but yeah I saw you."

"Ahh, that's understandable. Okay then let's go?"

"C: mhm." He nodded slightly.

You talked to him alot while walking together, you could feel his hand touching yours. You didn't really care much since you don't have much of an age gap with him, and you see him as an older brother.

You guys made it to the convenience store and you started buying a few snacks and 4 ramen cups. Just incase, you know? Chan looked at you and he had a soft smile. He seemed to be adoring you as you could feel and tell he was staring at you almost the whole time.

As you were done picking the snacks, you could see that chan only bought an onigiri and some coffee.

You were about to pay for your own food, but chan insisted on paying for you. You really didn't expect that, and you realized just how kind he was, you only met him once at your house. This is only the second time me meeting him. You wanted to accept his kindness but it also made you feel a bit selfish for making him pay for all your food.

"No no, you don't have to."

"C: really, it's on me. I don't mind!" He begged.

You sighed,
"Okay if you say so."

He ended up paying for your items and his. You felt a bit horrible because  it made you feel like you used his money for practically nothing. You bowed to him and said sorry multiple times for troubling him.

"C: it's okay! You should go back home now. I can walk you there? You know.. just incase something happens."

"You've already done a lot, you don't have to. It's fine really! You're too kind."

"C: aigo, naeun. I insist, come on."

You chuckled, and started walking back with him. It wasn't really that far if you ask me, just a 10 minute walk. There was this awkward silence (get it?) Because you didn't really know what to talk about.

But after a while he broke the silence

"C: you and I.N are dating, right?"

"hm? Yeah we are."
