Salaì Campbell was a Haitian-American teenager and April's childhood best friend. When she was in 8th grade, she was abducted by the krang to experiment with mutagen. She was mutated with an axolotl to fix its natural flaws. She was able to escape the day April and Mr. O'Neil was kidnapped, which was the same day she met Mikey. She acts like your usual traumatized black teenage girl, being competitive, having sass with almost anyone, having parental issues, having a crush on the leader of the mutant team- YK, the usual. She tries to help with "someone's" romantic life *cough* Donnie- *cough*. She and Leo are on flirty friends status with each other. Both Raph and Salaì cause trouble, but she's more responsible about how much trouble is too much. Mikey adores her because she used to be a human and is now a MUTANT (best of both worlds :D).
