Chapter 1

"Shinchan!! Come on, get up. You'll be late on your first day!" Shinchan heard his mom yell from the kitchen. He couldn't be bothered. "SHINCHAN!!" She yelled again.
"What's the deal? Let me sleep."
"You're a high school student now. Learn to be a little more responsible."
"Whatever." He mumbled and got up, making his way towards the restroom.

"Himawari, you too!!"
"I'm not a high school student yet, so I'm allowed to sleep." She said.
"NOT AT ALL! UP!! NOW! You have school too."
"Ughhh!!"

"Misae, have you seen my bag?" Hiroshi said, putting his coat on.
"You had put it on top of the cupboard last night, Harry. You forgot?"
"Ah, right. I guess I must've put it there and forgot." He said slightly embarrassed. "Dad, you're getting old." Himawari said, chuckling. "I'm still fit!" Hiroshi Defended.

"Breakfast is ready. Come on, you three."
"Hoi!!" The three synchronized.
Shiro was in front of the glass door, holding his tray in his mouth, wagging his tail. "Just a second, Shiro. I'll bring your food." Misae said, going through the shelves looking for dog food. "I just bought it yesterday. Where did I put it? Ahh, found it!"

"Are you ready for school, Shinchan? You're in high school now!" Hiroshi said, gulping his rice.
"Yeah, but all my friends are in different classes now." He said.
"But Kazama is still in your class, isn't he?" Himawari said, trying to include herself in the conversation.
"Yeah, he's lucky for that." Shinchan said with a proud smirk on his face.
"I doubt it." His little sister whispered.

"Come back soon!" Misae and Himawari said in unison as Shinchan and Hiroshi walked out of the door.

"Shinchan!" Masao, one of his best friends, screamed from the other side of the school ground waving his hand. "You're late again." Nene said as Shinchan approached them. "Come on, not that late." He said, putting his arm around Kazama. "You are twenty whole minutes late." Kazama said, throwing his arm off his shoulder. "Anyways, I thought we'd look for our classes together, but we're too late now." Nene said, glaring at Shinchan. "Hehe, come on, Kazama." Shinchan said a bit scared. "You go to your class. I go to mine." He said, pushing Shinchan to the opposite direction.
"But we're in the same class, Toru!"
"DON'T CALL M- WHAT??"

"Yes, didn't you check the classroom arrangement?" Bo chan said, handing him a paper. There it was. Toru Kazama, Shinchan Nohara, both in class 1. "Really?? I have to put up with him for a whole year?" "Wouldn't it be fun~" Shinchan said, putting his arm around Kazama for the third time. Kazama was too shocked to mind the hand.

"How lucky! You two won't be alone. All of us are in different classes." Masao said with his bright smile. "Yeah, how lucky." Kazama replied in a sarcastic tone.

"Come on, Kazama. I think our class is this way." Shinchan said, grabbing the boy's hand and walking him up the stairs. "There it is. Class 1."

"Great. My first day of high school, and I have to share the same class as the most annoying guy on this planet. Definitely not looking forward to this year."
