The cool evening breeze rustled the trees as you sat on a park bench, engrossed in a book. The quiet atmosphere was interrupted by the faint sound of footsteps approaching.
Lifting your gaze, you saw Choso Kamo. He looked slightly out of place amidst the serenity of the park, his presence always commanding attention.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, a hint of hesitation in his voice.
You gestured to the space next to you, offering a small smile. "Of course."
Sitting down, there was a momentary silence as Choso seemed to be gathering his thoughts. "I've been thinking about the last mission we had together," he began. "And how we... connected."
You remembered the mission well. The two of you had been assigned to defeat a particularly challenging cursed spirit. During the fight, you had saved each other multiple times, leading to an unexpected bond.
"You were incredible," you remarked. "Your techniques were astounding."
Choso chuckled softly. "I could say the same about you."
The conversation flowed effortlessly from there, with both of you sharing tales of past battles and personal experiences. It felt refreshing to connect on a level beyond the world of Jujutsu sorcery.
As the night deepened and stars began to appear, Choso's demeanor became slightly more serious. "I've been wanting to ask you something," he murmured.
Curious, you tilted your head, inviting him to continue.
"I've lived a long and complicated life," he began, "but being around you makes things feel simpler. Would you consider going out with me, just as two individuals trying to find their place in this chaotic world?"
The sincerity in his voice melted your heart. "I'd like that," you replied, your hand reaching out to intertwine with his.
The two of you sat in comfortable silence, your hands locked together, as the night sky illuminated your budding relationship.
