Jasper Hale oneshots

Jasper #41

I sit on the couch with my sketchbook next to Alice. We giggle as I sketch some funny drawings and then she is drawn into a vision. "You Good Ali-cat?" I ask. "Yeah I'm all good!" She grins. I look over at Jasper, who holds his breath as he reads. Jasper is always quiet around me but I always catch him staring at me.

I hum and smirk as I turn to a new page. "Do it." Alice smirks. I chuckle as I begin to write out a note. I really like Jasper and I don't want him to feel left out. I know he struggles to be around me but I want him to know that I enjoy his presence.

My note says:

Hey Jasper!

I know we don't really talk because it's a bit of a struggle but I just want you to know that I think you're a nice guy. I hate the fact that everything we do as a family end up excluding you because of me. I wish my scent didn't bother you as much so I could hug you! I think you're really cool and I enjoy being around you.

I scrunch up the paper into a ball and Alice chuckles. I aim for Jasper's head and it pings off his head into his lap. He looks up from his book shocked and I grin. "Open it." I chuckle. He sets down his book and opens out the crumpled paper. He starts to read it and I see a grin form on his face.

"Thank you." He strains out with tears in his eyes. "No problem Jas." I grin. "Jasper, come sit over here." Alice grins. "You know I can't." He growls. "Actually you can." She chuckles. He looks shocked and Alice springs out of her spot. She jumps up and drags Jasper over to sit next to me.

He holds his breath and is very stiff. "Hey." I smile and take his hand. I rub my thumb over his knuckles and he relaxes slightly. "Take a breathe Jasper." Alice encourages. Jasper looks frightened but does as he is told.

His eyes remain closed for a couple of seconds but he opens them shocked. "Your scent doesn't bother me." He grins. "It's comforting." He whispers. "Well then I can do this." I chuckle and pull him into a hug.

He chuckles and squeezes me gently. He hesitates as he nuzzles into the crook of my neck though. "I trust you." I soothe. "Never trust a vampire." He whispers.
