Bathing

Bathe and wash their hair at least once a week, but twice is ideal. Make sure that you can provide the time going in to taking care of the neko.

Many nekos may not want to bathe and try to convince you that they can lick themselves clean but they can't. If they don't bathe properly they could get the house dirty or even get sick. Bathing is very important.

Small nekos such as the munchkin breed may be able to fit in and bathe in a sink, but many grown nekos require to use the bathtub to bathe.

When you wash your nekos hair you should do it like how you would do your own hair. Use shampoo and conditioner and massage it in thoroughly. Make sure not to get any of the water in their ears though as it's not good for water to get in nekos ears.

To wash their ears just gently scrub the shampoo and conditioner on the outside of them, nekos have very sensitive ears so just be gentle.

With their tail, rub the shampoo and conditioner up and downwards a few times to make it especially clean and fluffy. It may be harder to clean their tail than it is to clean their ears as nekos tails tend to sway while being touched.

If it causes your neko any noticeable discomfort then stop immediately as they may get overwhelmed, and try again in a moment.

Rinse the soap out with water and then you're done. You have a clean and happy neko!
