The Birth of an Empress

Camila is beyond distraught .

For the past month, Luz has been missing from both home and summer camp, with no contact from her either. Even with calls, posters and even entire searches causing Camila having Little to no sleep at all, no progress has been made.

Work has also made it hard. With the more recent longer shifts, she hasn't had any time to take a break. No, not when her daughter was missing in gods no where.

As the more time passes by, she wonders that maybe it was her fault. For why Luz hasn't returned home. Constantly thinking if trying to put her in the camp really pushed her away.

Laying on the couch was Camila, with dark circles under her eyes that you were massive enough to be noticeable from a mile away. She had only one thought on her mind. Hoping

Hoping that maybe Luz will be knocking the front door.

Hoping that she would see her daughter again.

All that hope,

And still nothing

I need to go on ride

She goes to the dining room table to get the keys and some flowers from the side of the yard and rides out to the graveyard at the middle of the night, thinking that maybe for some odd reason Luz might be there. Maybe she wanted to Manny. She thinks to herself.

She parks her car near the woods and starts walking, seeing the graveyard and no Luz.

She walks up to a grave stone with Manny's name carved onto it. Tears start to come out of her. Not like gushing out, but more like tiny tear where your to sad to even try and cry. Not only has she lost the love of her life but also possibly los her only daughter. She starts to sit next to it laying the side of the gravestone and placing the flowers she brought on the stone itself.

"I know it's early but here's some flowers Carino." She says giving a sad smile. She looks down trying to reflect on everything.

" Luz has been missing and I don't know what to do. Everyday goes by and I each day, I think she might be fully gone, but still staying optimistic that maybe she comes home." She pauses for a moment "Lo siento if I'm rambling to much."

While also feeling depressed, she has also been is a feeling of longing. Like she needs to find a new partner and move on from manny after all this time. 8 years has felt like both yesterday and eons to Camila.

As she thinks, she the notices a small vial on the ground, almost piping out from the ground. Curiosity getting the better of her, she walks up to it and picks it up, seeing the blue liquid inside of it.

"¿Qué es esto?" She says as she slowly opens the vial while having trouble opening it.

"Why, wont you budge!?" She makes in almost a whispering yell as she pops open vile, spilling some of the liquid onto the ground near the arch. Camila looks in awe and confusion as the liquid starts to interact with the arch making a portal.

Camila thinks for a moment, thinking of the implications of what would happen if she went through, while curiosity overwhelms her to understand what in the hell is going on.

Then an idea popped in her head. One that seems crazy but after all the stuff she's dealt with and seen, it's hard not to believe in.

What if Luz went through a portal like this one. maybe she is safe, or possibly even in danger beyond what is through the portal.

After a moment as if she's not even controlling her body, she runs through it.

As she enters through she sees a large city with a sign on one part saying "Bonesborough: city of the boiling isles and home to witch's and demons" . She looks around to see creatures creatures big and small, slimy and rigid and even seeing people who look like humans, but have pointy ears, which she assumed where witch's"
