Chapter 1 - Getting to know you
The guys had gone upstairs to the quieter part of the club where they could talk. They were at a table and could look down on the dancefloor, but the atmosphere up here was more laid back, darker, they could relax.
"So tell me 'bout you, Jay," said Lester, smiling.
"Well I don't know. I'm eighteen and I live with my parents outside the town. My folks have a farm and I help them out. I have one older brother and one younger sister, and the whole family knows about me."
"Wow, how do I follow that?" laughed Lester. "I know a lot more about you now. "
Jay smiled and just waited for him to continue.
"Well I'm twenty and I live with my parents because we moved together, I was living alone before that. I got a job as a car mechanic which is what I've been doing the last few years."
He was mentally checking if he'd given the same information so they'd be on an equal footing. "Oh, and I have one younger brother, and all my family know, and my friends and so on."
"OK so what made you come up and say hello then?" asked Jay, looking at him sideways.
"Well I thought, this guy is so cute, I can't leave the club without getting to know him a bit better," answered Lester, moving closer to him.
They kissed and stayed that way for it seemed like a long time, and pulled apart just to look in each other's eyes. They could feel each other's warmth and were just enjoying the company of the other.
