Aboard the "Anehazuru" train, the night sky is filled with countless stars. I glare outside admiring the sea while listening to music with my earphones.

Passengers hang on as the train bumps on the steel track. Most of them are here on business while I was the only high school student aboard, transferring to a dormitory.

-Train Conductor:
"Due to a malfunction in the switching system, today's rail schedule has been greatly altered. We apologize to any customers who were in a hurry. Our next stop is Iwatodai..."

The train slowly stops and passengers start to gather their belongings. Unlike other trains, people were neatly lined up without a sign of anxiousness.

-Train Announcement:
"Iwatodai. This the final train bound for Tatsumi Port Island. Please take care to board before our departure."

The train station is buzzing with activity. I arrived late and it's almost midnight.

As soon as the clock struck midnight, everything started to shutdown. The sound of people chattering suddenly stopped.

I put my earphones down to see what happened around me. Something strange is going on.

Regardless, I still have to go to the dormitory. This wasn't the only weird thing there.

As I walked outside, strange coffins were all around the deserted city. The moon was eerily gigantic. The rain puddles were blood red.

I saw no one in sight. Anyways, I still have to walk to the dorm. I checked the pamphlet for the address. This is my first time here, yet I find my way to where I want to go.

This looks like the place. The dormitory was 4 floors high. By looking outside, no one was inside. It's weird not having anyone else around.

I decided to go inside and look around. The design has a hotel atmosphere and the furniture seems comfy to sit on. The front desk was manned by a pale little boy. His voice was thrown out of nowhere.

-Unknown boy:
"Welcome. You're late. I've been waiting a long time.

He holds out a piece of paper.

-He resumes:
"If you want to proceed, then please sign here. It's a contract. There's no need to be scared. It only binds you to accepting full responsibility for your actions.

Something is highlighted in bold writing.

"I chooseth this fate of mine own free will."

Below is a blank area for me to sign my name.

"Minato Arisato"

Once I finished signing, the paper vanished out of his fingers.

-Unknown boy:
"Very well. Time is something no one can escape. It delivers us all to the same end. Wishing won't make it go away. And so it begins..."

He melts into the shadows as if I'm having a twisted dream.

-Girl's voice:
"Who's there?"

She's surprised to see me. I would understand why she's shocked. She's a short haired brunette wearing a pink sweater with a red ribbon around her neck, a black skirt and high hoots.

She continues:
"How can you be...But it's...! Don't tell me!

She begins to hold something looking like a gun.

"Wait!"

Another girl comes in. She's red haired wearing a white uniform, a skirt, and high boots.

The first girl gasps as the lights begin to turn on.

My music begins to play again.

-The other girl:
"I didn't think you'd arrive this late. My name is Mitsuru Kirijo. I'm one of the students who live here in this dorm.

-The first girl:
"Who's he?"

-Mitsuru:
"He's a transfer student. It was a last minute decision to assign him here. He'll eventually be moved to a room in the boys' dorm."

-The other girl:
"Is it okay for him to be here?"

-Mitsuru:
"I guess we'll see. This is Yukari Takeba. She'll be a junior this spring, just like you.

-Yukari:
"Hi, I'm Yukari."

I said,"Nice to meet you."

-Mitsuru:
"It's getting late, so you should get some rest. Your room is at the second floor, at the end of the hallway. Your things should already be there.

-Yukari:
"Oh...I'll show you the way. Follow me."0

We went up the stairs to the furthest room of the second floor.

-Yukari:
"This is it. Pretty easy to remember, huh? Since it's at the end of the hall. So any questions?"

I asked her about the little boy.

-Yukari:
"What are you talking about? C'mon, it's not funny."

She doesn't seem to know what I was talking about.

-Yukari:
"Um...Can I ask you something? On your way from the station, was everything okay?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

-Yukari:
"You know what I-. Never mind. It seems like you're alright. Well, I'd better get going."

She begins walking away, but quickly turns around.

-Yukari:
"Um...I'm sure you still have other questions, but let's save them for later, okay? Good night!"

She began walking upstairs.

My room. This room is just a standard room with a bed on the side, a tv in the corner, a study table, a sink with a mirror, and a closet near the door.

I need some sleep for tomorrow. Some people would stay home after a flight, but I have school tomorrow. It's time to go to sleep.
