Author's POV

You were asked to accompany a certain sorcerer on their mission to be a semi-grade 1 sorcerer, and that sorcerer was Takuma Ino.

"Sorry, Nanami-san, but I think I'm gonna be a bit late," You said to the phone as you casually exorcised several curses coming your way with your katana.

"That's perfectly fine, Y/N. I should be thanking you for agreeing on such short notice," Nanami assured.

"Don't mention it. I'm always happy to help you out," Her sweet words seemed to linger, and Nanami couldn't help but feel his heart quicken in response.

There was a brief silence on the phone line before Y/N heard a faint voice in the background. "Nanami-san, why is your face turning red?"

Nanami hastily cleared his throat and excused himself, "Well then, I'll see you soon, Y/N." He hung up abruptly, a hint of flustered embarrassment in his actions.

Y/N stared at her phone, a puzzled expression on her face. "That was strange," she mused before shaking it off. With a nonchalant shrug, she slid her phone back into her pocket and resumed her battle stance.

"Alright, back to cleaning duty," she muttered to herself, swiftly swinging her blade to ward off a curse attempting to attack her.

"So, who was that on the phone earlier?" Ino and Nanami had decided to wait in a cozy little cafe.

Nanami took a sip of his coffee before responding, not revealing too much information. "The person who will be accompanying you on your mission today."

Ino's curiosity piqued. "Oh, who is it? A teacher?"

"No, actually, it's a student" Nanami revealed.

"Huh? That's a bit odd, isn't it?" Ino confessed.

Nanami finally clarified, "Everyone else was quite busy, which is why I asked for her help."

"Man, I'm jealous of first-grade high schoolers. Being so strong at a young age..."

"She's a special-grade, but I see what you mean," Nanami acknowledged.

"Special-Grade?!" Ino was visibly shocked by this new information. "There's another special-grade sorcerer beside Gojo-san and Okkotsu-kun?"

"There's two, to be precise," Nanami started explaining the situation. " Given the increasingly dire situation, especially with Sukuna's vessel being a significant threat, Gojo-san decided to bring in two special-grade sorcerers from China. Interestingly, they happen to be distant relatives of his."

"Things are really getting serious, huh?"

Nanami hesitated for a moment and then simply said, "Unfortunately, it is."

"So... what's she like?" Ino decided to pry.

Nanami took a moment to think of the words to describe the girl, "Well, she's very kind," he started.

"Driven, smart, and" He trailed off, his gaze fixed on something.

Ino, puzzled, followed Nanami's line of sight. His eyes widened as he saw Y/N walk into the cafe and proceed to order a drink.

"Whoa, she's gorgeous," Ino couldn't help but gawk, momentarily before remembering that Nanami had been observing her first. "Nanami-san, is she your type? You should ask for her number! I can be your wingman," he urged, excitement bubbling in his voice.

Nanami, in his usual deadpan manner, responded, "Please refrain from jumping to conclusions."

Before Ino could inquire further, Y/N's voice interrupted, "Sorry, I'm late."
