"I'm sorry, it's over" I said to the girl that is been dating. She looked at me with teary eyes. She asked me why but I couldn't tell her the truth. I couldn't admit that it was only to boost my ego and just to have eye candy for the sports team. That's all she was supposed to be but honestly and I would never admit this to anyone, I actually fell in love with her. I just didn't expect it to hurt this bad. All I told her that it wasn't her fault. That she wasn't the reason I was breaking up with her. I was at blame for the breakup. It wasn't long after that when I met Sydney. In some ways she reminded me of her. Which might be the real reason I fell for Sydney. At first it was so easy to be with her. I was madly in love with her. Even my brothers like her at first. I cant pinpoint where it all went wrong.
*February*
We were in an argument. But then again we were always fighting. There wasn't a day we didn't go with out arguing but it always ended with me giving up saying she was right and then we'd make-out. We'd been fighting for the past hour, I don't even remember what it was about. I kept spacing in and out, not really even paying attention. "What are you even upset about?" I said with a sigh. Which apparently wasn't the best thing to ask. "Are you serious? Your not even listening to me? This is the shit I'm taking about Chris! You never pay attention to me or spend time with me anymore!" She yelled. I just looked at her with an annoyed expression. "Are YOU serious right now? I literally give you all my time. I literally put you above my brothers, for Christ sake I put you above my career which is hanging on the line Because of you! I can't do this with you right now" I said while walking about if the bedroom, but of course she got off the bed and followed me while still yelling at me but I was tuning it out.
"Fine! I've tried a number of countless times trying to save our relationship but I'm done since you clearly don't care!" She said while grabbing her keys off the counter. I groaned while throwing my head back. I walked over to her before she turned the doorknob. "Baby wait, I'm sorry. I'm just stressed out with work and other shit." I said. She looked at me like she didn't believe me, but she turned away from the door so I knew she wasn't done with me.
"And honestly I was waiting for the right time but" I said as I got down on one knee "will you marry me?" I asked as I pulled the ring out of pocket. I looked at her and waited for an answer, she screamed and said "oh my god Chris! Yes of course I'll marry you!". I breathed out in relief. Now I'm just wondering if I made the right decision.
"Feels like we had matching wounds, but mines still black and bruised and yours is perfectly fine"
She stared at Chris's instagram post. He was getting to the girl he met not long after he ended things with her. She scoffed but she thought it was weird that he proposed to his girlfriend around the exact same thing her boyfriend proposed to her. But people get engaged all the time right? She hasn't spoke to Chris in years, in fact the last time she spoke to Chris was when be came to get his stuff. 5 years can do a lot to a person. Now she lived in L.A. with her boyfriend she let in high school and was a high class designer. Who would've thought? Surely Chris didn't until his manager Laura decided he should work with the professionals for his new clothing brand "fresh Love". And Chris thought nothing of it until he walked in the studio and saw her.
