At a practice room in the Hybe building, twelve girls was spread out on the floor stretching before another practice session. In fact it looked like every other day, and it might had been, if it wasn't for the news that would come in a few minutes.
On the cold floor three girls was doing dynamic exercises, while some chatting back and forth could be heard between them. The three girls had become a little group, and one of the girls, Mina, was especially grateful for the other two. Since Korean wasn't her first language, she had a hard time connecting with some of the other girls. Mina wasn't shy, she was just not confidence with her Korean.
The other two girls, Seola and Haneul, had been nice to Mina when she came to Korea. Seola was the most outspoken of the three and had therefore made the first step towards the other girls. Haneul was basically adopt by Seola at this point, even though there only was one year between them.
"Haneul sweetie, he was totally flirting with you!" Seola explained slowly to the clueless younger girl, she had grown fond of. "I can't believe you missed it, he literally asked for your number Haneul."
A soft chuckle escaped from Mina, who had witness the scene earlier that day.
"He did not flirt with me, he simply asked about my number so he could contact me for homework." Haneul mumbled not quite sure about the situation. She was actually a little confused about his reason.
"Honey, I have to agree with Seola on this one. You two don't even are in the same class, of course he was flirting with you." Mina commented, while she turned her head around in circles, to be sure her neck also was ready for the dance practice.
"See, that's what I'm saying! He's practically in love with you" Seola continued excited.
Before the younger girl had a chance to speak up, the door to the practice room opened. The lighthearted atmosphere, there had been seconds before, was now replaced with an ambitious and determined feeling in all the twelve trainees. All the trainees rushed to their feet to greet the staff.
The silence was loud, when the two manageres and other staff members entered the room. It was quite unusual the managers would come before dance practice, so something was definitely going on.
When they where all inside, one of the managers, Hyunshin, took the word. "Girls, there has been a change in plans, so the debut group will be made over the next few weeks instead of months."
The mood in the room shifted once again, and a mix of excitement and nervousness was filling the air.
"We still haven't decided the number in the lineup yet, so it would be made after who we think is ready to debut. All of you are great dancers and singers, but the company needs to make sure you girls can show excellent chemistry." Hyunshin continued and looked around at the aspiring trainees.
