Birds of a feather, we should stick together, I know

Not sure about how much time had passed, Mina pulled away from the warm embrace Sujin gave her. Her eyes were puffy, and her face was swollen.

Both of Sujin's hands went to the younger girl's face to dry away the remaining tears.

"What happened Mina? Did someone do anything to you?" Sujin asked, staring into Mina's brown eyes.

Mina removed her gaze from Sujin, glancing over at the skyline of the city. "This is annoying. I don't like to cry."

"Crying don't make you weak, Mina. You've just been strong for far too long," Sujin explained, without removing her gaze from her member.

"But I feel weak right now," Mina said. "I'm 18, so why do I feel like a child, who is sent to summer camp? Why am I this homesick, when our career is finally starting?"

The stars and moon were visible on the night sky, and not a cloud was in sight. A dot of light moved over the sky, which she assumed was an airplane, flying towards a different location.

Sujin's face softened once again, "Mina, when was the last time you saw them?"

"Over a year ago, I'm not sure," Mina admitted, removing the hair that hang in front of her eyes.

The last time she saw her parents, was on Christmas break over a one and half year ago. The foreign trainees was allowed to visit their parents for the holiday, but it was only a few days. And the memories felt like almost a decade ago.

"Then you have every right to miss them and feel homesick. Missing one's parents doesn't end when you grow up, you always miss them to some extent. It comes in waves."

"But what do I do about it?" Mina grabbed Sujin's arm lightly, starting to play with the soft fabric of her sweatshirt.

"First you accept it and share it with others, as you are doing right now. Then whenever you feel a longing for home, you talk with someone to ease your mind a bit. It's okay to ask for help sometimes," Sujin assured the girl beside her.

"I don't like to depend on others and worry them with my personal issues," Mina admitted, still trying to figure out how to open up. The conversation felt uncomfortable, but playing with the soft fabric helped her relax in the moment. "It's hard for me to ask for help."

Sujin nodded her head understanding, "I know, but you don't have to deal with everything alone. Find someone you feel comfortable sharing this with, it doesn't have to be me, it can be Miyeon, Yunha, Jay even Scarlet. I'm sure we all want to help you."

Mina soaked in every word, she was hearing the moment, but that didn't make the task easier, "I can't just ask them to listen to my struggles."

"Yes you can, Mina. That's what family and friends are for. We help each other, when life gets too much. The same way, you was there for Aya on our debut day, when she was homesick," Sujin remembered her and shifted in her position on the bench.
