Chapter 3: The Troubled Nun

Jake explained what happened earlier to Rhea and the rest of the company. Explaining Asuka's healing power, the boy being attacked by something, as well as the church making him feel a lot weaker.

Rhea bit her thumb, "Randy, I want you to promise me you will never meet with that woman again,"

Jake was shocked to hear this, "What do you mean?"

Rhea looked at us with a serious expression, "Look Randy, as demons, the church and anyone associated with them are dangerous to us and could kill us if we were to get too close. There is a natural process in this world, if demons are to get near holy places or were to touch holy objects, it could eat us alive from the inside out,"

This shocked Jake, clearly not expecting that answer. He gritted his teeth and balled his fists. Rhea had a saddened look on her face. "Look Randy, I'm sorry, but this is for your survival's sake,"

Jake nodded and began heading out, before he could leave however Rhea stopped him, "Randy wait, I want you to do some investigating for me,"

This peaked Jake's interest, he turned back at Rhea. "Apparently there have been sightings of an occult near a trailer park downtown, I want you to go down there and investigate it. But if things get out of hand, use this to contact us,"

Rhea handed Jake a piece of paper with a pentagram with a raven's skull in the center of it encrypted into it. Jake nodded and headed off to down town.

As we got into downtown, the area was baron, as if it was a ghost town for years. But not that long ago downtown was a prosperous area, seen as a second chance at life. Jake looked around for evidence that an Occult had been around, there was broken windows in multiple houses. Something had happened here, we just have to figure out what.

Jake got a cold chill as he walked past a home with the door open. There was something in there, but what?

Jake walked into the home despite our body screaming at us not to. Jake walked into the living area of the home seeing blood splattered across the room, a thick layer of blood flooded the living room floor. The body of the potential homeowner scattered across the room in little bits.

"What the hell happened here," Jake asks himself.

A figure comes out of the darkened areas of the room, a young man with short blonde hair and crimson eyes, dressed in what seemed like a clergyman's clothing covered in blood. The man had blood near his mouth where he licks it off and consumed it. Jake steps back a bit, "What the hell is going on!" he yells at the man.

The man begins to chuckle like a mad man, "I may be a clergyman, but I can't help but bathe in blood every once in a while, the lord demands sacrifices and I'm the only one who can do it," the crazed clergyman says.

Jake steps forward and is immediately shot by the clergyman. Jake falls to the ground anguishing in pain. "Damnit, what did he shoot me with?"

The man laughs hysterically, "These bullets were baptized in holy water and blessed by me just in case I run into a demon, it seems like today is my lucky day!"

A woman comes in and screams in shock, Jake turns and realizes it's Asuka. Asuka is trembling in fear, "Creed, what are you doing? Why is there so much blood?"

Creed smiles, "Oh dear Asuka, this is just standard practice of an exorcism, the people here were working for the devil and it's only natural for priests and priestesses to eliminate them, no matter the methods used,"

Asuka is shaking, looking at Jake, she tries to walk towards us but Creed grabs her by her hair, "What do you think you're trying to do?" Creed asks with a wicked look as Asuka is screaming in pain.
