Adrien looked angry at Luka's words, his Marinette was not gone, she was still in there, just hidden by the amnesia that had been caused by her nearly dying, Adrien stood from his seat on the couch looking down at Luka with a hard jealous glare, this random guy Marinette hardly knew had been able to date her, to be with her in the way Adrien always wanted to, she was his soulmate, they were meant to be together until death, then they would have to find each other all over again and start all over. "I'm going to see Marinette whether you let me or not, she's my soulmate, and my childhood best friend, I have more memories with her than you do, and I can tell you this, Luka, you know nothing about her." Adrien left the room, going to Luka's dressing room, hoping Marinette was still in there. Knocking on the door reluctantly, he waited for a response. "Come in." He heard her voice and froze, even her voice had changed.
He opened the door slowly, looking inside as his Emerald eyes met with her Sapphire eyes. A sight he had missed for 4 years, Marinette Dupain-Cheng stood just feet in front of him. "Marinette, I've missed you." That was all he could muster, he couldn't tell her how much he loved her, how much he wanted to pull her back to Paris with him, and how she could stay with him for all time if she was willing. He pulled out his phone and texted her, the ding from her phone obvious as she quickly grabbed the small device, it looked like an old model in his eyes, a few years old at the very least, and definitely already well used. "It's you isn't it?" Marinette asked softly as she looked up at him, their eyes meeting all over again, familiarity behind her eyes this time as they met.
Adrien just nodded, walking over to her as she stood from the seat, she was still the same height as she was the last time he saw her, just quite a bit more matured than the last time they were face to face, but to him she hadn't changed a bit. She was still his best friend, the girl he'd waited years for, the same girl with navy hair and bright blue eyes that he could drown in. She had no idea how much he missed her, how much of an affect she had on him.
Marinette stared into his eyes, they felt so familiar, yet so far away, like a distant memory she'd long forgotten from a lost time. She knew she'd lost a lot of time, 10 years of her life from before the accident, her mind was basically wiped clean, she knew how old she was, and who her parents were, but anyone else, was long forgotten.Marinette felt a strong headache hitting her as she looked at him, but her heart told her not to turn away while her mind was screaming that she needed to hide away in a dark room and shut herself off for the rest of the week. Marinette opened her mouth to introduce herself, but he already knew her, she didn't know him. "What's your name?" Marinette questioned as she looked into his eyes, it was almost as though she could see his heart shatter in his eyes when she asked him that. She thought she might've heard it outside the room, but didn't want to jump to conclusions, and just assume she would know his name "Adrien." He spoke watching as she suddenly collapsed to the ground, being close enough to catch her he held her in a bridal hold, quickly laying her down on the couch in the dressing room.
Luka ran into the room, he had a monitor on his phone for Marinette's smart watch that monitored her condition, he had noticed it starting to go haywire after Adrien left the room, and suddenly it detected she was now unconscious rushing to the dressing room he saw Adrien laying Marinette on the sofa. "What did you do Adrien!" He yelled now furious as Marinette would have to go back into the hospital all because of Adriens impatience to reunite with Marinette after he'd explained all he could to them without Marinette's consent. "She looked fine one second, then suddenly her entire body just dropped like a sack of potatoes!" Adrien yelled in his own defense Marinette hadn't had anything visually wrong with her, how would he have known something was wrong if she wasn't making it known.
Luka pulled his phone out and dialed 112 into his phone, calling for an ambulance to take Marinette to the hospital, she needed to get her normal work up for when she had fainting spells like this, after he got off the phone with the emergency line, he texted Marinette's aunt and cousin, letting them know he was taking Marinette to the hospital due to a fainting spell. "Listen Adrien, this is not the same Marinette you grew up with, she has medical issues, and she doesn't remember any of you, she doesn't remember the last 10 years of her life before her accident, and there's only a 0.1% chance of her getting any of those memories back especially after all the time that's passed, you didn't see her bandaged and bruised, you don't know anything about what she's been through." Luka spoke harshly as he followed the paramedics out with Marinette on the gurney climbing in the ambulance and going with her to the hospital, he was someone she would recognize, so he assumed it was best he stay with her.
What no one expected was what would happen once she was brought back to consciousness looking around the room in a panic, the look in her eyes unfamiliar to Luka, she looked at him as though he was the stranger to her. "Where's Adrien, Luka."
