In late August was when their first year of university began, they found out the gender of their baby in mid September, but it was now October, Adriens 19th birthday to be exact, the same birthday they'd celebrated back in August before everyone went off to their respective universities, even though Alya was still with them, Adrien and Marinette decided to celebrate alone, in their apartment, with takeout and a cake of Adriens choosing which happened to be Marinette's father's old recipe for vanilla cake with passion fruit filling and icing, made by the baking legend herself, with a bump in the road that lead to one of their bare chairs being placed in the kitchen for her comfort.

"Mari you don't have to make it if you're to uncomfortable." Adrien spoke, knowing she knew it was his favorite, but she was 25 weeks pregnant, and needed to rest, not making his special request birthday cake.
"I'm making this cake for you whether you like it or not, so suck it up and be grateful." Marinette poked her fiance as she gently pushed him back and out of the kitchen, his hand brushing against her growing belly before he was shoved back into the living room to watch his favorite show until his cake was finished.
"I'm telling you buggaboo, this couch is calling your name." Adrien called from the couch knowing Marinette would get tired and need to lay down and relax, he knew her better than ever after they made up, spending allot more time working through what was bothering them.
"Nice try Kitty cat, but this bug is on a mission." Marinette yelled back, knowing he would get bored of trying to get her to relax soon enough and just let her do what she wanted.

Adrien sighed in defeat, going into the kitchen to watch her bake, hugging her from behind when she would sit down, resting his hands on her stomach while their baby kicked against the palms of his hands, he enjoyed it, it made him feel connected to their daughter who was safe inside marinette for the time being. While Marinette baked he watched quietly, not wanting to interrupt her mental flow as she expertly remembered his favorite cake, and just how he liked it, that was until a small yawn escaped her lips right at the very end, she was tired, and Adrien could see it coming from a mile away. He knew his soulmate better than anyone, and the fact that his families children had a bad habit of causing 1 specific symptom, fatigue, and Marinette had it bad before pregnancy, and now, it was 10 times worse.

"Come on, we're going to take a nap." Adrien smiled softly as he put the cake in the fridge, then carrying Marinette to their bedroom and turning on a movie for them, 50 first dates had quickly become a usual favorite after marinette's amnesia a year ago.
"I don't want to nap." Marinette's complaints were met with deaf ears as Adrien was well aware that his fiance needed sleep.
"No arguing, you're growing a whole little human, you need to sleep." He argued back, knowing she couldn't disagree.

After repairing their relationship they quickly began to prioritize their relationship and their daughter and in just the few weeks they'd been back together fully they'd set up the nursery and Marinette had indulged in quite a bit of online shopping on Adriens dime, but if it made her happy, he was all for it. His new motto when he texted in the group chat he had with his buddies from high school was 'happy wife happy life', he found it to be extremely accurate at every turn.

Adrien smiled at all the birthday wishes, with Marinette sleeping in his arms he was happy to know his friends hadn't entirely forgotten about him, though he more often than not was to busy with university, Marinette, and the baby to text with them, he was happy where he was, relaxed with Marinette and texting with his friends, Luka had eventually worked his way into the group, despite his busy touring schedule, he'd bonded with a lot of the other guys since they'd all found their soulmates, though, Adriens bonding moment with Luka had happened while Marinette was staying with Alya, that had been the biggest reason for his final acceptance into the group, even if things between Luka and Marinette were still a little awkward.

Adrien layed in the king sized bed all alone, missing Marinette more than anything, he'd spent the last 2 nights finishing off a bottle of German alcohol Nino had sent him as an early birthday gift, he wasn't expecting any visitors, but when he heard a knock on the door he jumped to his feet, hoping it was Marinette finally coming home, or Alya coming over to give him an update on Marinette, it was much to his dismay when he saw Luka standing at the door.

"Zoe told me you and Marinette were having a rough patch, thought I'd check in on you, man to man." Luka spoke endearingly as he handed over a bottle of American whiskey that he'd had for a while, just never got around to drinking.
"A rough patch doesn't even reach the surface, we're practically split right now." Adrien mumbled taking the bottle, going and pouring himself a drink.
"Getting Marinette to break up with you is a feat few men will ever know. I'm probably the only other guy who will know what you're going through at least a little bit." Luka sat with Adrien for a while until the blonde was ready to talk.
"She found out I was scared about the baby, that I wasn't sure about being a parent anymore, like you did back at the party." Adrien explained, Luka's head nodding as he now understood where Adrien messed up.
"She's really excited about the baby Adrien, you have to support her through this, maybe buy her flowers, she loves pink roses, and goofy catchphrases, though I'm pretty sure that was something she might've retained from your memories with her, cause even when she would pass out in a movie, she would always say your name." Luka spoke laughing softly as he knew more about the older Marinette than it seemed Adrien did, granted Luka had a lot of memories of Marinette that she still had yet to fully regain, and it was even less likely now that she was pregnant.

Adrien listened to Luka's stories, smiling softly at some of the things Marinette had done during the years between when her parents passed and when she finally returned to Paris, he couldn't believe how different a person she'd been, the Marinette he knew spoke her mind, and was shy but not afraid to make new friends, the Marinette Luka knew hardly had any friends at all, she was like a caged bird, but now, with him she was free, back to how she used to be, her real personality, not a personality forced upon her by people around her.

"I need to apologize to her." Adrien spoke softly, Luka nodding his head in agreement, he knew Adrien needed to apologize, and that conversation alone was what set in motion Luka slowly becoming a solid part of their close friends.
