I woke up in my room. Emma was on her bunk underneath me, snoring softly. I was just about to get up, when our mum, Kerry, walked in.

"Rise and shine girls! First day in high school today!" She almost shouted. We both groaned and got up. We went over to the walk in wardrobe and began getting dressed.  I wore the moustache t-shirt whilst Emma wore the Minnie mouse one. I grabbed my skateboard and Emma grabbed her bike and we were on our way.

When we arrived we went and found the office together and picked up our schedules. As we read over our a timetable, we discovered that we had the same classes. As our tour guide, a very grumpy goth girl, showed us around, people stared at us. One boy started to chat to his friends and then looked back at us smirking. Emma and I glanced at each other then smirked back at the boy. This seemed to shock him a little, but he quickly regained his cool.

"Like what you see?" He asked, as we neared him. Emma tried to stifle a laugh, unlike me who was full on laughing like the idiot I am. We calmed down then noticed him looking at us still.

"Not one bit," we replied at the same time then walked away to our first class. As we walked across the school to the bigger building that held the Science rooms, the bell went. All of a sudden, students popped out of corridor everywhere. It was like a stampede! WE pushed aside slower students and managed to get to room 47 without being trampled on. We looked around and discovered everyone was already in class. How where we late? Worst of all, all eyes were on us.

"Can I help you?" Our teacher asked.

"Yes," started Emma. "We're new students here. Emma Harrison and Aimee Furlong. I believe this is our class?"

"Ah, yes. Please take a seat in the back and try not to be late next time." Mr Rose, if I remember correctly, explained then motioned for two seats in the back. Throughout the entire lesson, people introduced themselves. We quickly made friends. Throughout the entire lesson, Daniel, who sat opposite us, wouldn't stop staring at me. I quickly waved it off and blamed my over-reactive imagination. As sir came around, we quickly finished our work to cover up for the fact that we were talking all lesson. He came to our table and looked a Daniel in disgust, then marked our work.

"Well done girls. You got all the answers correct," he stated in monotone. He the proceeded to mark other peoples work. We talked for the rest of the lesson, then went to art. The teacher there was really nice and she let us listen to our music to 'give us inspiration'. If she saw half the of the songs I listened to, she would immediately revoke this rule. As I drew a rose with bulletholes in it, Emma drew a picture of me and her. She was wearing a long, flowing dress and I was wearing black jeans and a red t-shirt. I mentally smiled, glad that she knew I didn't like dresses. After art finished, the day went by really quick. Before we knew it, we were on our way home again. As I jumped up a curb on my skateboard, a familiar face came into view from the window infront of me. Just behind the blinds I could see Xavier, our life long best friend. I sighed when I saw him. When we left for London, the two of us weren't on the best of terms. Well this is going to be interesting...
