I stood there stunned for a moment. Jo and I were Captains so I thought he would talk something personal here so other students couldn't hear it. I let out a deep sigh but soon heard a subtle chuckle. "Ah! It's embarrassing. Don't worry, It was a dare, that's it, Guys you can come out" He awkwardly ran away with Hikaru and Gaku following him. I looked at them leave from the door and Maki enter.
"You heard?" I looked at him surprised. "Well, Yeah, I did" He smiled. "It was obvious right?" He looked at me with a little sad smile. "Huh?"
"He actually likes you, but his friends might've come up with it so he and you won't be awkward after this" He sighed frowning his eyes because of the sun. He stood leaning to the wall. I suppressed my lips forming a thin line.
Yeah, I knew it. I knew that Jo liked me, but I stayed silent. I walked to Maki and stood beside him. I pulled his pinky finger and linked it with mine. He looked at my direction and I smiled. "That was mature of you" I complimented him with a smile. The fact that he handled it so calmly was impressive and also attractive. If I was him, I would've probably bursted out.
"I fell for you again" I said and giggled. I could see him suppress his smile. "Riki-kun" I smiled and looked into his eyes as he tried looking away. "Riki-kun" I smiled and called him again and again making him finally give in and smile and hug me tightly.
*Riki-kun is affectionate way of calling in Japanese*
"Is it cold?" He asked while hugging me. I nodded my head and then he pulled his coat over and wrapped it around me. I looked at him and smiled "Ich liebe dich" I tried pronouncing as correct as I can. He looked at me with a surprised Pikachu face. "Where did you learn that?" He looked at me with amusement. "Google obviously" I said making him chuckle. "Me too" he said and smiled.
We returned to class as the bell rang.
I looked at Yuma who was involved in reading a book. "What are you reading?" I looked at him with a smile. He showed his biology book and sighed. I smiled. "Hope you do well in today's test" I said and realized that I didn't ask Maki if he read.
I turned back to look at Maki. I called him and mouthed him the question 'Did you prepare for test today?' I asked him and Maki made a pale face. 'We had a test today!?!' He looked at me surprised. I sighed and rolled my eyes. 'If you don't get good score, no date' I acted while mouthing the statement. He pouted and then took out the book and started studying.
"Harua chan" Yuma called me out. "Oh What is it?" I looked at him. "What's going on with Maki and You?" He asked. I smiled awkwardly and remembered that me and Maki decided not to tell anyone about our relationship yet.
"Nothing special, We have been friends from the start" I said and went back to study. Yuma nodded and smiled. "Actually, Harua" Yuma called me with a soft voice. "Do you know that Jo likes you? I think he would've already confessed right?" Yuma asked. I sighed and awkwardly nodded. "You rejected?" He asked. "Not completely, but I think he got the idea that I won't date him, why do you ask?" I looked at him confused.
"thank god, I didn't want rivalry with my own best friend" He said and relaxed his back. I looked at him confused. "Wait! Don't tell me you didn't get the idea still!" Yuma looked at me surprised. I nodded my head confused. "I like Jo" He confessed. "W-WHAT!?!" I got up surprised catching all the attention.
"Sorry" I went back to my seat and decided to listen to Yuma. "Really?" I looked at him surprised. "Thank god" I sighed and relaxed. "I thought you liked Maki when you asked those questions" I sighed. We both went quiet and then made an eye contact and bursted into laugh. He laughed so much that I almost teared up.
"We are indeed soulmates" Yuma stated and hugged me tightly. "Ahem! No, he is mine" Maki spoke from behind in a low tone. "AH!?!" Yuma looked at me with a betrayed face and smiled awkwardly back. "How long?" He asked. "two weeks" Maki replied and the broke the hug between me and Yuma. "You sly fox" Yuma stated and high fived me.
We both returned back to home and on the way I corrected his answers. "You got 15 correct" I said and sighed. He smiled a little. "Fine next time get 20 correct, then I will grant you a wish" I said and smiled.
Maki excitedly jumped. "YES!!! I will ask something really special!!~" He danced. I smiled and followed him. "Oh! Sanrio!~" I exclaimed looking at the claw machine outside a shop. "You want one?" Maki looked at me and smiled.
Sanrio, isn't my fav, but it just looks extremely cute.
"How about we have couple keychains?" He suggested as bunch of keychains and dolls were there.
"I will get Kuromi and you take melody" He said and smiled. And once again, I fell for him. The fact that he was willing to put on something so cute and girlish which was not his style shows how much he likes me. I smiled and helped him out while he pulled out couple keychains and a doll.
"I will put it on for you" I said and pulled his bag and kept it on his bag. "Let me, My lord" He took the melody keychain from me and hung it on my bag.
I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"AHH! Lips are not that far away, why do you kiss me on my cheeks!?!" He whined.
