Today was Thursday.

Nothing important in particular about that day, aside from the fact that he promised Tommy that he would talk to Ranboo about.. certain things.

And it was not that he was against talking to Ranboo! But when the bus inched to Ranboo's stop and he didn't walk on, Tubbo wouldn't be lying if he said he hadn't felt an ounce of relief.

It's not like he was scared or anything.. he just.. needed time to plan what he was doing to say.

I mean, how do you just bring that up and it not be awkward?

Tubbo couldn't imagine a situation where he could ask Ranboo where they stand without a red face and without being a mess of stutters.

But for now, he'll just lay his head on the cool glass window, and think of the million different ways this could play out.

Was semi-ignoring Ranboo then entire day Tubbo's best idea? No. Did he still do it... maybe.

When Ranboo burst into class late, apologizing over and over to the teacher and made eye contact with Tubbo, did the brunette advert his eyes somewhere else?..yes..

But he had a lingering feeling that Ranboo was also afraid to make eye contact with him.

Which is great for Tubbo! A confrontation He totally wouldn't have to make even harder, as both of them didn't have the balls to make eye contact!

Our poor little innocent homos..

...I'm hungry...

Oh yeah back to narrating- AhEm:

And lunch wasn't any easier.

They had to sit next to each other, drowned in the most awful awkward silence Tubbo had the misfortune to have to lay in.

Sure, the kids from Tommy's table throwing a paper ball while smiling and waving to Tubbo helped as a bit of a distraction, but not for long.

Ranboo picked at the skin meeting his nail the entire time, not making effort to slide any food under his mask.

When the bell rang and everyone was dismissed, bodies shoving each other out the door, Ranboo only offered a small wave and a smile Tubbo could see through the mask.

Tubbo waved back.

Mr Halo's class passed in an instance, Tubbo's brain not even processing it was the end of the day until every kid shot out of their desks in a loud heap sound.

"Have a great day! And remember, you have a test on-"

Tubbo couldn't hear the last bit of his science teachers sentence, too busy trying to run through the traffic of too many kids.

He found Tommy, with who he remembered as Purpled and Fundy, watching Fundy shove as many Doritos as he could into his mouth.

Weird ass kids.

Tommy caught Tubbo's gaze and waved him over.

"Fundy you're gonna end up cutting the back of your throat if you keep on adding more-" Purpled warned, though he's not sure if he really cared if that happened or not.

Fundy let out a muffled mess of sounds, shaking his head.

"Welp boys, I need to be heading my way, but I'll see you tomorrow." Tommy said, waving to Purpled and Fundy (mostly Purpled though, as Fundy was too busy focused on the task at hand.)

He grabbed Tubbo's arm and immediately bolted through the crowd, trying to leave the building as soon as possible.

"Jeez, chill out Tom's! Techno's bringing us home today-"
