In a world ravaged by chaos and shrouded in darkness, a masked figure emerges as an unyielding force of self-justice. In the dead of night, when the moon is veiled by clouds, she glides through an extensive region of tall grass, her steps silent, her purpose unwavering. To kill or be killed. Each stride she takes navigates the treacherous terrain, her agile form seamlessly blending into the shadowy tapestry that surrounds her. The wind whispers through the grass, carrying the weight of her determination as she closes in on her targets. Deep within the heart of the enemy's stronghold, a sinister force holds sway, spreading terror and despair. Innocent lives crumble under the oppressive grip of the Fatui Skirmishers—a merciless group that knows no mercy. Bound by a past shrouded in mystery, she is driven by an insatiable thirst for justice. Within her lies a hidden strength forged by tragedy and loss. Her movements become a symphony of precision and agility, her mask concealing her identity, while her eyes reflect a relentless resolve. Each swing of her blade is swift and lethal, dispatching her foes with chilling efficiency. Every strike embodies her unwavering determination. The grass whispers its secrets as she manoeuvres through the field, veiling her presence. The darkness becomes her ally, wrapping her enemies in fear and confusion. They catch whispers of her legend, tales of a spectral figure emerging from the shadows to exact vengeance upon those who sow chaos and destruction. The people have called her the "Masked Huntress." As she ventures forth, considerate steps dance upon the earth, and the grass caresses her legs in a gentle embrace. The air carries the scent of damp soil and fresh blood. Her unwavering resolve shines through her actions, fuelled by her tragic past and an unyielding desire to right the wrongs that plague her world. Blood stains her blade, a testament to the battles fought and the lives taken. With a calculated grace, she sheathes her rapier, the metallic sound slicing through the lingering silence. The darkness around her seems to recoil as if acknowledging the fierce determination that burns within her. Taking a moment to breathe, she surveys the aftermath of her vengeance, a respite amidst the chaos. Her masked face remains impassive, concealing the storm of emotions that stirs beneath. Yet, behind those concealed eyes, a deep-rooted hatred for the Fatui smoulders like a dormant flame. As the moon emerges from its cloudy shroud, casting its pale light upon the fallen foes, the masked girl's figure gains clarity. The wind rustles through the grass, carrying untold secrets to her ears, while her heart beats in synchrony with the rhythm of the night. With a final gaze upon the fallen, she releases a solemn breath. With resolve etched upon her features, she removes her fox mask, revealing the countenance of an innocent yet determined young adult. Returning to Liyue, the mask now set aside, she exposes her face to the moonlit city. The quiet streets enfold her as the soft glow of lanterns guides her path. Making her way to Baiju Guesthouse, she encounters drunken men outside Liuli Pavilion. Ignoring the commotion, she enters Baiju Guesthouse and approaches the receptionist.
"A room for one, for two nights," she speaks in a composed tone.
"Certainly! May I have your name for booking?" the receptionist replies professionally, accompanied by a gentle smile.
"Fey," she responds concisely.
"Your room is 1687," the receptionist smiles as she hands Fey the key.
Accepting the key, Fey ascends the creaking stairs, each step echoing with anticipation. Unlocking the door, she steps into a cosy haven decorated with Liyue's traditional decor. Soft lamplight bathes the space, casting playful shadows upon the walls adorned with sophisticated Liyue motifs. As she settles into the embrace of her temporary refuge, her gaze falls upon the moon-painted patterns of silver filtering through the window. Outside, Liyue reveals its nocturnal beauty, alive with lanterns and distant melodies. Exhaling a sigh of relief, she surrenders herself to the plush bedding, her weary body yielding to the embrace of rest. Morning arrives, coaxing her awake with a golden glow that filters through the curtains. Stretching her limbs, Fey rises from her slumber, feeling rejuvenated and purposeful. Energized and prepared, she checks out of her room and ventures back into the bustling streets of Liyue, her steps propelled by an unspoken mission, seeking answers or perhaps new battles that await her.
Fey found herself navigating the lively streets of Liyue Harbor, where a vibrant medley of sounds filled the air. The harmonious blend of street vendors' melodies, merchants' animated chatter, and whispered ancient tales created an enchanting ambience. Fragrant aromas tantalized her senses as she passed by food stalls, offering sizzling delicacies that beckoned her. Curiosity led her to indulge in the savoury delights, discovering an array of flavours that danced upon her palate. After a satisfying exploration of Liyue Harbor's street vendors, Fey made her way towards the Adventurers Guild. There, she reported the successful completion of her missions and acquired new ones for the day. Her tasks included eliminating a Fatui agent near Yaoguang Shoal, clearing out monsters near Wangshu Inn, delivering medicine for Dr. Baizu, and investigating Dunyu Ruins. With her purpose clear, Fey embarked on her journey, heading towards Dr Baizu's residence. Fey was driven solely by her goal of eliminating the Fatui and completing her missions. Upon arriving at Bubu Pharmacy, Fey greeted Qiqi and presented her with a bottle of her favourite coconut milk. However, Qiqi responded with a blank stare before glancing quickly at the coconut milk.
"Huh... Coconut milk? I like coconut milk," Qiqi murmured in confusion.
"Qiqi, do you happen to know where Dr Baizu is?" Fey inquired, hoping for some guidance.
"Hm... Dr Baizu... Over there," Qiqi pointed in the direction of a pharmacist across the room.
Fey sighed, realizing that Qiqi had mistaken Herbalist Gui for Dr Baizu. Fortunately, her disappointment was short-lived as Dr Baizu entered the pharmacy just as Fey let out a sigh of relief. Fey pondered over Dr Baizu's request and concluded that it presented a favourable opportunity to replenish her supplies of bandages and medicine before embarking on her mission to subdue Abyss monsters.
After a day of diligent work, Fey used the teleporter to return to Liyue, admiring the radiant hues of the sunset as she approached the railings in front of Granny Shan's toy store. It was there that her gaze fell upon a frail-looking child seated on the steps, appearing lost and uncertain amidst his unfamiliar surroundings. A blend of curiosity and compassion stirred within Fey, despite her perception of children as vulnerable beings. Approaching the child, Fey observed his pale, freckled skin, piercing blue eyes, and vibrant orange hair. Dressed in what seemed to be traditional Snezhnayan attire, complete with a brown and white bomber hat, he exuded an air of innocence. Intrigued by his presence in Liyue and compelled by her innate sense of justice, Fey gathered the courage to strike up a conversation. The young boy's innocence became evident as their dialogue unfolded. Fey discovered his remarkably naive outlook on the world, coupled with a lack of combat skills to protect himself. Undiscovered to him, he had unwittingly stowed away to Liyue on a quest to reunite with his brother, armed only with a few pouches of mora. To his delight, he had successfully located his brother but had become puzzled during his exploration of Liyue, subsequently finding himself stranded and in need of guidance. Fey's heart swelled with empathy upon realizing the vulnerability he possessed in this foreign land. Driven by her strong sense of justice, she extended a helping hand. However, she was unsure of the identity of his brother or companions. Thus, Fey extended an invitation for the boy to join her in locating his companions. Gratitude radiated from the young boy's eyes as he handed Fey a bag brimming with mora. The thought of accepting such a significant sum from a child weighed heavily on Fey's conscience, causing her to contemplate the possibility that his companions might offer monetary gratitude as a means to decline the offer later. As she redirected the conversation, Fey inquired about the young boy's name, lingering in suspense as he prepared to reveal it. And his name was...
