On the road to hell there was a railroad line, and a train coming up from way down below.

And on that train, STRANGE ÆONS leapt into action as the door of her compartment opened. Her face billowed smoke as she gave over control to this... mist of sword training or whatever.

the lurker walked into the compartment. It was the girl Marrow, her face distorted with anger, tear tracks leading down her face. in her hands she carried a jar of teeth, which shescattered on the floor. STRANGE, under the influence of the necrotic shroud, lunged towerd her. the tesin pitched like a rollercoaster going round a bemd. STRANGE s sword went eide, long enough for the child-who-was-a-roommate-maybe-in-other-dimensions to coagulare a shield from the melted teeth. Marrow snarled sadly: 'You killed her! you an her was the only good thinks on my life and you frekin killed her!"

Strange easily cit herseld free from the mess of half-solidified bone and rounded on cindy as the girl threw a tooth at her. eqsily cutting throung the spine of bone that is transformed into, strange shifted her weight, parried anither bone shard, and stepped forward menacingly.

STRANGE dashed forward, fueled by her fog if war. wffortlessly dodging the weakly formed necromantic weaoons thrown at her, strange swept the leg of her innefectual assassin and pinned her against the windo ledge.

it was aat this moment, witha (pseudo mind controlled) STRANGE holding her sword at the throat of a teenager, that someone knocked on the door.

Anything from the trolley, Darknesses? Smarties? Rockets? All-Dressed chips?

STRANGE's head whipped around, trailinf fog from her eyes peering into the compartment was a Long Furby with a wild pelt of black and purple fur. The furby froze, her first set of hands still holding rhe trolley.

Mother? offered the furby in deep confusion.

strange, lost deep within her own mind, was snapped back into her bbody by the sounnd of her daughter's voice. she resurfaced gasping for air, feeling as though a heavy weight had been removed from her chest.  "Gluten-free Garbadine GirlGruel?"

None other, said girlgruel in her voice like the humming if a thousaind honey bees. Do you need help?

"um, no im good offered strange, letting go of cindy. 'This was all a big misunderstanding."  "misunderstanding?!' cried the young necromancer, "you killed the only person who cared about me! Phux cared about me! about who I am, not just sum f***ing prophecy of me savinf the convent!"

strange staggered as if hit by a brick. Im sorry, she said. "I... it ..." she stared at the rapier in her hand. Felt the wyrd mist hiding away in her mind, whence Girlgruel had banished it. "I'm sorry." ,said STRANGE, dropping her rapirr. In her head she raced through excuses, tearing apart one after the kther like her blade had the warden.

Girlgruel watched in concernaz STRANFE straitensx up and looks down at marrow. "I'm sorry.", said strange again. "I was disoriented and I let the darkness take control for a little while. I don't mean to make excuses, but I want you to know what was going thru mah ead. Also she tried to kill me, so it was seldf defence.

Iknow that won't bring her back, and you don't have to forgive me. But I want you to know that I really am sorry, and her death id probably going to haunt me forever." strange finally worked up the courage to meet marrows eyse, and she found they were brimming with tears of pain and angiush.

"f you! said marrow. "why can't you just bring her back?! I wish I never opened youe stupid tomb, u f*** knuckle! I wish you were dead instead!"

and saying this, the girl beat her fists innefectuallly upon STRAFNES armour. eventually, she wore herself out, collapsing in a sad angry pile at strange's feet. Girlgruel and STRANGE decided it would be best not to disturb her more than nesseszary, so they put her on the bed, threw a blanket over her, and left the compartment to have some mother daughter bondinf time/cat h up.
