So, let's say you've known almost all your life and were diagnosed when you were younger.
Head-cannons:
-Duke almost always checks your blood sugar. He would ask about it so much that you just decided to put it on his phone. Now, he calls you or alerts you when your blood sugar is too high/too low even if you already know
-You already know Fanums got you when it comes to snacks. If you're blood sugar gets too low you just walk up to Fanum's room and tell him. He automatically hands you a snack size bag of candy he keeps on hand for these moments exactly.
-You start to feel shaky and weak so you slowly make your way to Fanum's room. "Fanum." you say weakly as you knock on his door. He quickly opens the door and ushers you to his gaming chair. "Hey stream." you wave as Fanum searches his room for something for you too eat. "Here." he says handing you a juice box and a fun size KitKat. "You good?" he asks, sitting on the ground. You nod and smile. You sit on stream with him for awhile until your blood sugar evens out. "Now, I know you better be sitting down!" Duke says bursting into the room. You raise the juice box. "Alright now." he says before walking back out.
-Kai tries to help you put on your DexCom (or change your insulin pump), but he's really afraid of blood, so Agent helps you instead. He always does it as gently as possible and always gives you a count down.
-I hand the DexCom to Agent and take a seat on the couch. "I can do it this time, I promise." Kai says. "Alright, first take off my old DexCom with the disolver." You say handing his a wipe. He carefully wipes around the DexCom. "Now, just pull it off." you say looking away and preparing for the pain. He grabs the edge of the sticker and starts to pull. "You're bleeding." he says. "Yep. You gonna be okay?" you ask. He slowly nods as he faints and falls backward. Agent smiles and moves Kai over so he can finish putting on your DexCom.
-In the end, they all are very sweet with you and help you as much as they can. Duke even does research and talks to your doctors to best learn how to help you.
