Chapter One: Staying The Night

On the island of Patch, Blake and Sarah are hidden behind a bush looking at a cabin. The lights are on and there is movement inside.

Sarah: "Good. Their home. I just hope they remember me."

Blake: "Can we trust them? Can I trust them?"

Sarah: "They're good people, Blake. They took my father and I in for awhile after...after we had to leave our home. They told me that if I ever needed help, they would invite me in with open arms."

Sarah looks down with a look of sadness in her one good eye, then looks up at Blake.

Sarah: "If I was to tell you that I'm not who I said I was, would you hate me for keeping it from you for all these years?"

Blake: "What do you mean? I could never hate you, Sarah."

Sarah: "...My real name is Elizabeth Schnee. I know you don't like my family for what they've done to faunas, but it was necessary to change my name to keep me safe from them. Those people inside that house know me by my real name, and I wanted you to hear it from me before them."

Blake: "I...what?"

Elizabeth: "If you hate me, I understand. However, I'd like to get you inside where it's warm, and my eye should really get patched up."

Elizabeth gets up and walks about half-way towards the cabin before realizing Blake isn't with her. She looks back just as a figure gets up and runs away in the opposite direction.

Elizabeth: *Whispers* "Stay safe, Blake. I'm sorry."

Elizabeth turns back towards the house and walks up to the door before knocking on it. A couple seconds go by before the door opens, a blonde girl around the same age as Elizabeth behind it.

Yang: "Hello. What can I do for you?"

Elizabeth: "I need to talk to your father."

Yang goes to respond, but not before she's interrupted by a middle-aged male voice.

Tai-Yang: "Yang? Who's at the door?"

Tai-Yang comes over to stand behind Yang, only for his eyes to go wide when he sees Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: "Hey, Tai, long time no see. You said years ago that if I ever needed help, I could come here. That offer still on the table?"

Tai: "Yeah, of course. Yang, help her to the couch. I'm gonna go get the medical kit."

Tai goes back into the kitchen, while Yang opens the door for Elizabeth to come in. Elizabeth walks inside, making her way to the couch as Yang closes the door behind her. Tai comes back into the living room as Elizabeth sits down. He sits down next to her, putting the medical kit down on the table and opening it.

Tai: "What happened to your eye?"

Elizabeth: "Saved someone from Adam Taurus while escaping the White Fang."

Tai: "You joined the White Fang?"

After saying this, Tai starts to treat Elizabeth's eye.

Elizabeth: "Best place I could think of to hide, surrounded by others just like me."

Tai: "And your father?"

Elizabeth: "We...aren't on the best of terms right now. Coming here was easier."

Tai shakes his head as he continues to treat Elizabeth's eye. The three of them sit in silence until he's finished.

Elizabeth: "Thank you, Tai."

Tai: "No problem, Liz."

The phone in the kitchen rings, which Tai gets up to go answer. Elizabeth looks around the house, noticing that the house looks...simpler. Her eyes eventually land on Yang's, who's been staring at her since she sat down.
