A/N Hello again my stellar readers. Hope life is finding you well. On to chapter 5, I know you've been waiting.
The Vampire
Why did she have to smell like that? Hailey took a deep breath trying to pinpoint the smell of the brunet. She smelt of the forest, like it was just starting to rain. You could smell the damp dirt, the tall pine trees, but also the sweet flowers blooming this time of year. She also smelt of leather and oil. She tightened her grip around the brunet. She let herself smile only a tad. In all her years she had never ridden on a death trap such as this. The loud roar of the engine. Being so open. All of the wind driving her hair crazy. It was an accident waiting to happen. Eventhood she was basically immortal, dying was quite painful.
So why had she taken the alphas offer? She really wasn't sure. Tony's was only two blocks away, she could have walked. She had been on her way to the restaurant and heard the scream, then the alphas voice so she had come to investigate. Maybe she took the offer so she could keep up her rapor, or maybe because she simply wondered how it would feel to be this close to her. She released her right hand and attempted to wipe some hair out of her face so she could see again. It was at this point that the brunet decided she was not stopping for a very clear red light and the death trap lurched forward causing her to grasp the brunet again tighter than before. She could have sworn she heard the woman let out a low chuckle.
"Can you try not to kill us dear? I have a bar to run." The blond said a bit higher than normal.
"I'll keep you safe." If it had not been for their close proximately the low voice would have escaped her ears due to the extreme noises present.
"That would be in your best interest." she mumbled.
The vibrations from the death trap were causing them to rumble together. Pressing this close was wreaking havoc on her senses. She caught herself resting her chin on the brunets shoulder. The act itself caught the her by surprise, but she didn't pull away. She felt the low growl form in the brunet. It wasn't long before they were pulling outside tony's and the brunet pulled down an alley and went behind the building. Strange.
"I'm pretty sure their front door works just fine." She said disentangling herself and leaning back.
The brunet parked by the back door and shut off the bike.
"It does." she said simply. "We are going through this way." She held out her left hand signaling for her to slide off the bike.
Hailey huffed before sliding off the bike and rejecting the alphas help. She adjusted her shirt and tried to flatten her hair which was now resembling a haystack.
"You just had to choose that death trap." She shook her head. The brunet gave her a tight liped smile.
"Let's get inside. Your hair is fine." The alpha said in a low voice before knocking four times on the door, pausing then another two.
The blond let out a small hum and stood to the side of the brunet. She knew they were in wolf territory and she would never have come to this side of town without looking for a fight. She lived across town and had decided to get a cab just to make sure her jeep wouldn't get mangled just because she was a vampire. Wolves were very territorial, much like gang terf she thought. She knew realistically she was safe with an alpha, but she kept her sense's on high alert just in case. The door opened and the sounds of a bustling restaurant greeted her ears. The stench of wolf soon followed and she had to swallow down a gag in response.
"Alpha." The man said with a smile before seeing the blond. She gave him a fanged smile in response.
She watched as he froze and looked as if he was going to say something before a low growl shut him up and he bowed his head.
