The young lady that Heizou swore to protect was finally saved, though the mission went down an unwanted path and ended up with more damage to both the ship which was completely gone before they left the island, and to everyone involved in the mission.

It was about two weeks after the Seirai island incident, that Heizou was still in a comatose-like state from hitting his head on the ground. It's a miracle that he was still alive after almost getting crushed by the whole ship caving in on itself.

A small couch was positioned right next to the bed Heizou was on, the couch was slanted weirdly which was a definite sign that someone moved it. A young lady with vibrant girl hair and purple eyes was wrapped in a blanket and asleep on the couch. Even though she also wasn't in the best condition either, she looked peaceful sleeping next to him.

It took a couple more days for Heizou to finally wake up, when he opened his eyes for the first time he almost hissed at the light from how bright it was. He tried to sit up but his body would budge, his eyes wandering around the room before he noticed Shinobu. She was just lying there peacefully as if nothing ever happened.

"Miss... Shinobu?" He mumbled trying to sit up again, this time he was able to move a little but it caused a lot of pain.

The groans from him moving around in pain made Kuki wake up.

"Hmm... Who is Miss Shinobu...?" She asked sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Aren't you Shinobu Kuki?" He asked looking at her as she slowly got up.

"You... You have my name wrong order, it's Kuki Shinobu..." She explained yawning multiple times throughout her sentence.

"So I've been saying it wrong all this time...? " Heizou asked while starting to regain control of most of his body.

"Mhm... It would be Miss Kuki... But that's beside the point, I'm glad you're finally awake." She said while stretching.

"Thank you, it's nice to see and know that you are safe." He replied while looking away from her while she stretched for a second.

"It's all thanks to you..." She said finally standing up and walking over to his bed.

Before she reached the bed she glanced outside and noticed that it was already morning again.

"I was just doing my job as a detective and investigator for the Tenyrou Commission and Detective Agency." He explained while finally sitting up completely.

"You didn't just do your job though, you went out of your way to save me and even put yourself in a life-or-death situation for a girl you just met. That's a really good trait that more people nowadays need." Shinobu said standing next to his bed.

"What are you saying?" Heizou spoke his voice was filled with curiosity and a little pain still.

"I just want to say thank you." She hugged him gently trying not to hurt him more.

Heizou grimaced in pain but tried his best to hide it from Shinobu. He slowly put his arms around her a hugged her gently trying not to chase more pain.

"You did have to hug me back if it causes you pain," Shinobu said letting go of him.

"It doesn't cause me pain." He said avoiding eye contact.

"Then why are you avoiding eye contact?" She asked gently putting her hand on his cheek and making him look at her.

Heizou's face turned bright red as Shinobu placed her hand on his face. Shinobu's hands were very soft and surprisingly warm compared to the cold room.
