The next morning Heizou woke up and got out of bed quickly, he grabbed his work clothes and walked to the bathroom. He looked himself in the eyes his eye bags were swollen and dark from crying himself to sleep. He didn't see himself in his reflection, he saw a sad man, a desperate man.

He washed his face off and changed into his work outfit. He put a little makeup over his eye bags to hide the dark spots and to make him look presentable.

After getting ready we left to head to work, he ran to work most days because it's a food workout and he lived fairly close, but today he decided to take a nice walk to try and clear his mind. On his walk, he passed by two people all lovey-dovey. he looked down and just kept walking, he was trying to clear his mind but now his mind was even more cluttered with thoughts of how lonely he was.

When he walked into his office he noticed a familiar face, a man with white hair and red horns pacing back and forth in his office.

"Hi Itto... Is there something you need?" Heizou said closing the door to his office.

"Finally you here, I was worried you weren't going to show up today," Itto replied quickly, his voice very shaky.

"Is everything okay Itto?" Heizou started to walk over to his desk.

Itto grabbed Heizou's arms and pulled him back to him closer to him.

"My sidekick and the deputy leader of my gang got kidnapped last night," Itto said in a serious tone.

"A kidnapping you say... Tell me everything that you know so far." Heizou's face became serious as he spoke.

"I'm assuming she was kidnapped last night because she said she was going to head to bed at her normal time. But this morning when I went to check in the living room for her, which is where she is usually reading books or some other paperwork, she wasn't there. I went to check in her room which is where I found a huge mess of clothing and broken glass, her room is never a mess so I immediately knew something bad happened." Itto's voice became even more worried and he sounded out of breath after he finished talking.

"Hm... I see..." Heizou quickly wrote down everything Itto said. "Can you take me to what I'm assuming is your shared house?" He looked at Itto with the same look of concern in his eyes that he had given him previously.

"Yes, I'll do anything and everything to get her back." Itto quickly replied.

Heizou grabbed the piece of paper he was writing on, a pen, and a folder before heading off with Itto to the Arataki gang's shared household.

The house was pretty clean, everything was organized and put away in cabinets and drawers. They made their way to the living where they didn't find anything then to the bedroom that was also mentioned before. Her room was an absolute mess, her clothes were thrown around and there was shattered glass coming from the window.

Heizou maneuvered around the room making sure not to mess with how the room was left, he didn't want to mess with the evidence in case he missed something just from looking at it the first time. He made his way to the window where the broken glass came from. The pattern of which the glass was broken was odd, a part of the glass looked like it was melted. Heizou thought to himself before turning back to Itto with his hand on his chin.

"Does the kidnapped girl have any enemies of any sort?" He asked while glancing back at the melted glass.

"Her name is Kuki Shinobu, and possibly. She works part-time as a lawyer to make extra money so she has landed a couple of guilty people in jail." Itto replied while noticing the melted glass as well.

"Hm... We might be dealing with a vision wielder, and they have a grudge against her they might be holding her for ransom because of what happened in the past." Heizou changed his focus from the window to a desk with a bunch of papers all crumpled up and saw a couple of them slightly burnt.

"I will find whoever is holding her for ransom and beat the hell out of them." Itto's face changed from a worried expression to pure anger.

"Itto... I understand that this can be infuriating but due to you not working for the Tenyrou commission of the detective agency if you beat up someone else you will be arrested for assault and battery." Heizou said trying to get Itto to calm down.

"So they are allowed to hold my partner for ransom and I can do anything about it?" Itto's voice became more angry.

"The detective agency and Tenyrou police force will take care of it. I promise I will bring her back here safely." Heizou replied trying to further calm him down.

"Fine... I trust you and the agency to bring Kuki back..." His voice went back to normal as he began to calm down.

"Thank you," Heizou said as he went back to investigating the desk.

There were stacks of books and legal documents that Kuki was reading through, he looked over them quickly to see if any of them was a note left by the kidnappers. On the edge of the desk, there was a birthday stack of papers that was knocked over. The knocked-over stack was in a direct line from the window, the stack was most likely hit by some type of magic from a catalyst user or by a flaming arrow. After a little more looking through the papers he found it.

"Bingo," Heizou said picking on the arrow with a bit attached to it.

The tip of the arrow was burnt and still had the slight smell of burning wood, he pulled the note off and looked over it.

'We took your precious jack of all trades and legal shield, if you want her back bring all of your gang's mora to the shipwreck on Seirai island.'

"So she is being held for ransom..." Heizou mumbled to himself.

"Did you find her? does it say where she is? Can you tell me?" Itto begged desperately wanting to make sure she was okay.

"I can't I'm sorry, it's best if I keep the place a secret for now. Especially because of what you said earlier. all I will leave you with is that we have an exact location and I will bring her back no matter what" Heizou replied placing the note in the folder along with a piece of burnt paper.

After a little bit more talking and investigating Heizou had enough information to take back to the agency. He said his goodbyes to Itto before leaving to walk back to the detective agency while walking he couldn't keep his mind off the case. This was the most information he had gotten for a case in a long time.

By the time he got back to his office, it was already sunset, and time to go home. He put the file in a long ked filing cabinet and left himself a note on his desk about the case before grabbing his bag and heading home.

When he got home he was extremely tired from his lengthy day at work. He walked to gus bathroom turned the bathtub on and waited for it to fill with water before he undressed and got in.

"Tomorrow... Tomorrow I will bring Kuki Shinobu back safely" He said while relaxing from the heat of the water.

After he soaked in the bath he pulled the plug and stood up while waiting for the water to drain. Once it drained he took a quick shower to wash himself off from sitting in the bath. He got out dried himself off and put a pair of shorts on for bed. This time when he looked at himself in the mirror he didn't see the desperate man he saw that morning. he saw himself again, he saw a man who had a purpose in life. His purpose in life was to help anyone and everyone he could.
