Recruiting new members

We all huddled together with our jerséis and equipment on.
"Tell me about my new kids." My dad says and our sponsee starts talking.
"That's Luis Mendoza, he's from our Miami club. A real speedster. Incredible skater. I clocked him at 1.9 seconds, blue line to blue line." I raise my eyebrows impressed.
"Goodlooking skater." I nod at Connie agreeing.
"Very goodlooking skater. What do you think guy?"
"Shut up averman." Guy says clearly jealous and hit averman in the stomach sending him down.
"He has one minor problem." The sponsee said and we all looked at Louis while he crashed into a wall and let out a yelp. "Has a little trouble stopping." We all smirk and giggle.
"I'd say so." Goldberg says and we move onto the other players.

Once we were done introducing the players this big teenager started knocking around the ducks and it turned into a big argument between the ducks and the new players.
"Everybody freeze!" We heard my dad say and we all turned to face him.
"Now we didn't come here to fight! We came here to play hockey! We're team USA. You represent your country." While my dad was talking tibbles kept agreeing and trying to help but it only just made my dad angry. After a while of doing it my dad turned and looked at tibbles with a mad expression and everyone laughed.
"Let's start with the scrimmage."
"Great scrimmage!" Tibbles exclamined once again. "You heard your coach. Now- hey you don't need me here. I've got an appointment anyway." I heard them talking but I just rolled my eyes and went to the new players.
"Hey I'm y/n!" I said as friendly as I could and we all smiled at each other.
They introduced themselves and we all shook hands and then I got to Louis,
"Hey I'm Louis." He said and shook my hand smiling.
"Yeah I heard. I can help you get better at stopping if you'd like." He smiled and nodded.
"That'd be great thanks." As I nodded Adam came up to us and kissed me on the cheek.
"Hey babe, how are you going?" I smile and look at him.
"I'm great how about you?"
"Absolutely wonderful now that your here." I smiled and suddenly we heard my dad yell.
"Alright ducks, let's show em what you got! Let's scrimmage!"
We took our places and the new kids took theirs. Jesse is in the centre with the cowboy dude and u can see him mocking him. Poor dude, he's definitely gonna have a rough time with Jesse at this point. We start and Dwayne gets the puck easily, tripping Jesse on the way. Luis gets the puck and starts skating fast down to Goldberg.
"Oh no!" We hear as Louis crashes into Goldberg.
"Oof" I say and go to help them up.
"Thanks for breaking my fall." Louis says and I laugh.
"Anytime."
"Let's go defense!" We hear Julie shout and Adam gets flipped upside down off the teenagers back. Jesse then shoots the puck to the goal but Julie catches it perfectly.
We get the puck into a spot and we all try to get it out. I get an idea and go out further and yell at them to put it out, but as Charlie's about to Dwayne pushes him and then their off again. I finally grab the puck and start gliding it down the rink, I dodge Louis and he crashes into the wall, then i around Dwayne and the teenager. I'm met with goalie and I fake going around the net and push to puck in. We all cheer and then we have another round. Adam does the same thing and and my dad cheers him on.
Fulton now had the puck and then gets rammed by the big teenager. While Fultons on the ground the teen keeps making fun of him and we can already tell what's going to happen. Surprisingly Fulton doesn't do anything and the teen pushes over two other ducks and goes back to position.

We play for a while longer and a puck goes flying at Mr tibbles head. We all rush to his side and try to wake him up.
"Mr tibbles!"
"Mr tibbles wake up."
"Can you hear me."
"Mr tibbles"
We put an ice pack and towel on his head and he then wakes up.
"Oh Mr tibbles, are you alright?" A young woman asks and he looks around confused.
"Oh uh, I'll have a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate shake, please." We all giggle abit and the lady smiles.
"I think he'll be okay but we'll keep an eye on him. Oh I'm sorry, he didn't have a chance to introduce us. I'm Michele Mackay, their tutor." She says shaking dads hand.
"Hi I'm coach Bombay, their coach."
"Who said we need a tutor?" Banks says and I slap his arm.
Everyone starts talking all at once angrily and then Goldberg says,
"Now, Mrs McKay, we're America's team here. Shouldn't we just be concentrating on hockey? May I suggest optional attendance?" Everyone started agreeing.
"Well that's not a bad idea."
"Call me Goldberg."
"Goldberg! Yes. School will be optional." Everyone cheered. "However, however, should you not attend, you will be eligible to play." Everyone groaned and complained while she smiled at my dad.
After that's we all went to the locker rooms to get changed and left my dad and the lady to talk.

"I can't believe we have to do school, this supposed to be my big break!" I hear Goldberg say as I walk back from the bathrooms as I'm changed in warm clothes and everyone agrees.
Adam groans and then grabs my arm and pulls me aside.
"Hey, you wanna come to mine after practice?" He asked and I smiled.
"Yeah sur-" I was about to answer when Jesse pulled me away.
"Come on! We wanna do something cool!" We run to the big machine that smooths the ice and see Fulton and guy standing next to it.
"Oh no." I say.
"Oh yes."

"How do you start it?"
"Uhh I don't know maybe press that button?" We all look at each other and Jesse shrugs his shoulders and presses the button and we jolt as the ice machine starts moving. Suddenly we crash into the class and walls and we all gasp as I stop the moving vehicle. We all look at my dad and the lady and then start laughing.
"Oh my gosh."
"That was awesome!"
"Are you okay?" Guy and I ask as we all give each other. We then look back at my dad and Michele.
"Sorry." We all say trying not to laugh.
"We're okay!" Jesse
"Yeah if youse were wondering?" I finish.
