Sick (Chapter 7)

Zoe's POV:

When I woke up, I felt more tired then yesterday. A few days ago I went on more dates with Luka and Marinette and that made me exhausted. I wanted to check the time on my phone but I couldn't, I forced my arms to move but all I could do was moved my arm of my bed. Suddenly I heard a knock. I didn't say anything because I couldn't even open my mouth either. My butler came in after a while, he came up to me and asked

"Mademoiselle Zoe, why haven't you gotten up yet? It's a school day" He asked coming into my room

After I didn't answer he went up to me and felt my forehead

"Your forehead is burning Mademoiselle, are you feeling alright?"

I somehow found the strength to shake my head back and forth

"I'll tell your teachers, I'll get a personal doctor, please stay here" He said going out of my room

Where was I even supposed to go? I couldn't even stand up

After a while, Armand came back to my room with someone behind him wearing a doctor's uniform. She came in, grabbed a chair and sat next to my bed.

"Hello I'm Julia, your personal doctor, this kind sir right here said that your forehead was burning" She said referring to Armand who left the room shortly after

All I could do was nod. She check my temperature and checked my blood pressure. After a while she said

"It looks like you have a high fever, have you eaten anything last night?"

I simply shook my head

"Just rest, eat and take medicine, you'll sure be better in no time!"

I managed to say "Thank you" softly.

"Just rest in the meantime and I'll be back after you finished your break fast"

I nodded and the doctor went out of my room closing the door behind.

"I guess I'm not going to school after all" I thought to myself

I ate breakfast, took my medicine and went back to sleep

Marinette's POV:

I was still thinking about Zoe while walking to school, I was hoping to talk to Zoe today and hopefully apologize again.

When I got there, I looked all over but I only saw Chloe there while Alya was waving at me. I went up to Alya and asked her

"Hey Alya, have you seen Zoe?"

"No, I only saw Chloe getting out of their limo this morning"

Suddenly the bell rang. Alya grabbed my hand and dragged me to Ms. Bustier's class. Zoe was in that class with me so I was hoping to see her there but I didn't. Ms. Bustier started checking attendance and greeting everyone but didn't mention Zoe's name. I was curious why I didn't see Zoe today so I raised my hand

"Yes Marinette?"

"Miss, why didn't you check Zoe's name?"

"Oh, Zoe's butler called me earlier this morning saying Zoe wasn't coming today"

"Ugh finally!" Chloe then said

"What happened to Zoe?" I thought to myself while Ms. Bustier started her lesson. "Maybe it was my fault, she probably didn't want to see me today. What wrong with you Marinette?" I said to myself while hitting my head. Alya looked at me with confusion

"Are you ok girl?" Alya said quietly

"Y-yes! I'm all good" I managed to smile at Alya and turned to 'listen' to Ms. Bustier's lesson
