CHAPTER 4

I am not a morning person. Mapa-Barbara Coast o kahit saan man, I always dread waking up early. I'd rather lay in bed the whole morning and start my day in the afternoon than open my eyes before brunch.

Ganoon siguro ako ka-tamad.

So when Kai knocked at my door at around 8 AM, believe me when I say na nairita ako. We went home at 1 AM kanina and I only slept for around 6 hours kaya I really don't appreciate this morning interruption.

"Celeste, bumangon ka na!" Kai said. He is inside my room now because his voice is nearer.

"Let me sleep, idiot." I said, fully annoyed. I grabbed my pillow to cover my ears.

He just chuckled. "Akala ko ba sasama ka sa Lagoon ngayon kasi sasama si Kuya Heros at mga kuya mo?"

Agad akong napabangon dahil sa narinig. Oo nga pala! My brothers knew about the Lagoon last night at gusto nilang sumama kina Kai. Heros even agreed to join dahil maganda raw doon!

"I am awake!" I said, suddenly energized.

He laughed before sitting in the bed beside me.

"Excited si madam, ah?" Sarcastic niyang sabi.

When Kai asked me if I want his help to win Heros' heart, I kinda hesitated. I mean it's Kai! He's annoying and a prankster. I really don't trust him with stuff like this.

But then he looked at me with so much sincerity that I didn't have a choice but trust him and agree.

"Hindi mo lang ba ako niloloko?" I asked him.

He acted as if I hurt his feelings by questioning his intentions. Baliw talaga ang isang 'to. May pahawak-hawak pa sa dibdib niya.

Umayos siya ng upo at tinitigan ako ulit direkta sa mata. I felt something funny inside me but I chose to ignore.

"I am serious, Celeste. You want him? I'll help you get him." He said with all seriousness and determination

At itong getaway sa Lagoon daw ang unang step sa plano ni Kai na tulungan ako. He said that he'll make a way na kami ni Heros ang magkasama buong araw. I really don't know how he plans to do it, but I have to trust him.

Aside from that, mahihirapan din kaming ilayo sina Kuya kay Heros. Even if I don't want my brothers to be there while I flirt with their friend, I can't go without them. Hindi papayag si Mom.

Isa lang naman ang rule na sinabi ko kay Kai. My brothers can't know about the plan and my feelings for their friend. Lalo na si Kuya Top. Heros is his bestfriend and I don't want to put my brother in an awkward situation.

"Wow! You are my role model, bro. Napababa mo agad iyang si bubwit?" Kuya Cross met us downstairs, acting all shocked that I am awake this early.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Yeah, Kuya. I can be a morning person, you know?" I said before leaving the two of them to go straight to the dining.

I want hot choco. I don't drink coffee kaya chocolate drink ang alternative ko.

"Good morning, baby!" My Mom greeted me and gaya ni Kuya Cross, mukhang masaya na maaga akong nagising.
